Part fit right into my 1991A1 with no fitting needed. Works perfectly. Matte finish closely matches weapon.

For a taurus pt1911, this doesn't work.

It seems built well enough, but taurus decided to not make their pt1911 interchangeable with typical 1911 parts. You can file it down to fit the slide and frame, but the magazine catch is not long enough to engage the follower of the magazine for this specific taurus frame. I had to take a lot of metal off for it to clear my standard grips too. The Wilson seems worth the extra $10 although I am not sure if it would fit my gun either.

This is a poorly made poorly finished part. Tried on a Springfield and a Kimber and part would not fit either gun.

Bought it thinking it would be a drop in for my Springfield GI 1911 hi capacity....it was not. Had to have it fitted although minor. Have yet to test it at the range but I expect it will do just fine.

I took a chance after ...

I took a chance after reading other reviews and purchased 2 of these extenders, because I own 5- 1911's. I put one on my Colt new Agent and it fit perfect, installed the other on my Springfield Range Officer with the same result. It would not fit my Para P14-45 as expected. The finish is great and they work perfect with no grinding or filing at all. Nice product and might buy another for my SA Ultra Carry. Sweet Deal.... Highly recommend. Thanks again Midway

I give this a horrible review, I ordered this item and I did not even get this brand, they shipped JTM parts, not to mention one was too large and out of spec with a junk finsih. If I wanted JTM I would have ordered that directly from them and saved some money.

THESE WILL REQUIRE FITTING!!....that being said, they are meaty enough its hard to damage them during fitting. Finish is a little rough, but I build pistols to work with, not look at so that didn't bother me. Besides refinishing will take care of it and its nothing too bad that it cannot be buffed out. Fit several to different Para P14s (Limiteds and SF-45s) and to a couple of Colts...dropped on pretty easy to the colts (Series 80s 1911s), but needed extensive fitting for the Para's, but then again, after extensive fitting it works flawlessly, great tight lock up and enough material that you can shape it to match the width and thickness of the rear safety...looks like a factory part once finished. Sitting around 1-2K with with the parts in the Paras and no problems at all. Highly Recommended.

Great product, replaced in about 2 minutes. The picture does not do justice. The extended pad is larger than it looks. I love it. Replaced the stock piece on my Taurus 1911.

The machine marks on the ...

The machine marks on the outside was reasonable But if you want to use polishing compound I am rather sure I could buff them out. With the negatives aside I love this product it's awesome with fit and feel I swapped this on multiple pistols to see how they fit, on each one it worked flawlessly. When I dropped the slide it had no grab and felt like butter. You can't beat the price for the function of the product.This product I would rate 5(five) stares for function.But if someone else was looking for finish I would rated 4(four).I will be buying more of these and will most likely be very pleased.
