Product Information

The Ultimate Varmint Stock is an excellent platform for stationary hunting or target shooting. A stable 2-1/2" wide forearm provides a stable rest, while a rear elevation screw allows precise elevation adjustment. The cheek piece and 1" thick buttpad are adjustable for a perfect fit, and a 1/2" spacer allows for length of pull adjustment. Trigger guard is molded into stock, and wide enough to allow use of trigger with gloves. An aluminum bedding block free-floats the barrel which is wide enough to free float 1-1/4" diameter barrels. The barrel channel can be inletted just like a wooden stock for larger diameters. Durable polymer construction with a lifetime guarantee.

If you get this stock ...

If you get this stock plan on bedding it asap. It fits the action loosely at best. Build quality is somewhat lacking. It has a few poorly cut places on the molded stock. It is very sturdy, and has a nice recoil pad. It has a nice shape to it that makes it easy to shoot well. I'm giving it a 4 because it has potential but don't expect it to shoot well right after you drop it in. For the price it's not a bad buy.

I built a sniper rifle ...

I built a sniper rifle from a Winchester model 70 308. I put a #7 contour Douglas barrel on it (which is extremely large). I then put this same stock on ( only it was the Winchester model) and I love it. I was getting pretty good groups out of it as it was ( .588 at 200 yards) but I decided to go ahead and bed the action and now I get .313 groups at 200 yards. The stock is heavy by itself but I still added a little more weight and now my rifle weighs 17.6 lbs and has less recoil than a .223. I'm now about to get on for my savage 30-06 and see if I have the same luck (I already know I will). Long story short, go ahead and get this stock. you will not be disappointed.

The stock was as ...

The stock was as advertised, the action and barrel were a drop-in-fit with no modifications. I'm waiting for a new barrel before I add some weight. The adjustable front bipod rest is very solid and the rear height adjustment helps you dial in your shots. I would recommend this as a good purchase.
