This replacement magazine is a factory original from Browning. Factory replacement parts are manufactured to the exact same specifications and tolerances and use the same manufacturing materials as the original parts which guarantees excellent fit and reliable operation. Includes thumb stud to make reloading easy as well as a window to view the rounds in the magazine.

Keeping a few extra factory magazines around is never a bad idea; extra magazines save loading time at the range and also serve as a backup for those days when you simply cannot remember where you put your primary magazine.

Note: These are "new style" magazines with the wider base plate. Will not fit flush with the grips of the original style Buckmarks.

Makes shooting more enjoyable

These magazines are hard to load, so it's best to have a stack of them ready to go when you get to the range. I've been buying more of them over the years, and the new production ones are as reliable as the older ones. I wish Browning would spend a couple seconds dehorning them, though; you're paying a premium for low production numbers, I'd be willing to pay more for someone to knock all the razor edges down so they don't slice up my thumbs. As is, a quick, light touch with a polishing wheel takes care of it, but at this price point, I shouldn't have to.

These clips are great. They are oem Browning and match the newer model clips exactly. I ordered several and they have worked flawlessly through thousands of rounds in my Buckmark. Do yourself a favor and order the McFadden Speedloader item #523189 and you can literally load a 50 round box into 5 clips in under 20 seconds. Unfortunately, you will have to start buying alot more ammo.

Unable to find magizines ...

Unable to find magizines for my Browning Challenger I. Bought one of these and grooved the bottom to allow the "catch" to hold magazine in place and it works as well, if not better, than the orignal part. Take your time to "fit" the "catch lip" in the base rear. No jams in over 500 rounds. Unable to find replacement magazines for the Challenger pistols.

I have a Browning ...

I have a Browning Challenger II that I purchased in 1975. This blasted thing had feed issues since day one. I even tried Challenger III magazines but still seldom got a full magazine through it without a nose dive or a full pop up over the chamber. About a month ago, I was shooting with a friend that had a Browning Buckmark... 2 Generations newer than mine. As a "What if" I tried his Buckmark magazine in my Challenger II. It wouldn't snap in place because the Buckmark is a thumb button release and the Challenger II is a heel type. I held it in place and it fed every single cartridge. Intrigued, I purchased a Buckmark magazine locally and set forth with mill file and small jeweler's files to notch the base area for the heel release. I tried it and it worked but kept popping free. I deepened the notch and success! I ordered 4 more from Midway and commenced to filing notches in these too. I now have 5 magazines functioning 100%. I was happy to have saved this pistol from being cleaned, greased and put away, never to be used to teach my grandsons to shoot with it. This pistol has sentimental vale as iy belonged to my dad and I got it when he died. My grandsons will be old enough to shoot it very soon and the tradition of teaching with family heirlooms will continue.

These magazines are incredible. I've shot thousands through my Buckmark mags with no problems whatsoever. They are easy to load, store, and maintain; definitely worth every penny you pay. I purchased my Buckmark in Jan. 2010, and the Magazine that came with my pistol matches my separately purchased ones. Excellent product.

I can't figure it out, ...

I can't figure it out, the lips appear the same, the angle of the follower is the same, the weight is close, but the aftermarket ones don't work the same (yes, I've tried several brands; jams &/or FTF- not many, but enough to be distracting - one in a box or two). For the few $ more, get the Factory ones. I too prefer these newer ones with the heavier base, and use the older ones for the slow-fire portion of the bullseye match.

Forget the aftermarket ...

Forget the aftermarket magazines. Browning is the only way to feed your Buckmark. These are identical to the mags that come with your post 90's Buckmark. Will fit ALL years and models of the Buckmark .22LR. Midway always has the best prices on these and will put them on sale every few weeks or so AND... they almost are always in stock!

Now that Browning only furnishes one magazine with the gun buying spares is pretty much a necessity. These are good ones. I'm ordering a couple more because they work 100% of the time.
