The Gapper fills the void between the trigger guard and the top of the pistol grip on your AR-15. Not only does it cover the sharp edges that are an irritation to many shooters, but it also gives the bottom of the trigger guard a more complete and finished look. This solvent resistant rubber "Gapper" easily installs and is held securely by friction.

The Gapper is one of the few aftermarket gizmos for AR-15s that works. However, for the price of a hot glue stick, you can make your own. Simply inject hot glue into the gap and press it flat using a metal plate. Loosen the pistol grip and remove the "Gapper". Trim it to fit and reinstall everything. The best part is you can make several extras and keep them handy as extras or to give them to fellow shooters at carbine courses with bloody/raw fingers.

Neat gizmo that REALLY should be installed by the factory. I bought two, one popped in with a reasonable amount of force, the other ended up trashed because it just wouldnt go in a different make receiver no matter what I did. Well worth the money if it works, but be prepared that it may not go in all firearms. Worth the risk for the benefit.

This little piece of rubber is good at what it does. It fills a gap that has never been an issue for me. I have em' on a couple of lowers. They were included with their grip that I like well. Some aftermarket trigger guards eliminate the gap too. I prefer the MagPul replacement trigger guard method to this, but this does what it's supposed to.

This does fill the gap, but the gap didn't bother me in the first place, and when I installed MagPul trigger guard this thing was not needed anymore.

This little rubber insert ...

This little rubber insert was difficult to install in my Bushmaster M4 but was nice once it was in place. It needs to be a tight fit to keep in it place. After struggling with it for awhile, I rubbed my oily fingers all over it and used a small wooden dowel to tuck it in. It's not going anywhere now and looks good - finishes that gap area nicely.

These are a MUST! I highly recommend these, especially if you do a lot of tactical training.They save the inside of your middle finger from getting rubbed raw while carrying it in a single point sling and having to constantly hold in to the grip.I have noticed that they will NOT fit an Essential Arms lower due to the machining angle of the lower behind the trigger guard, but work great on Colt, Rock River, DPMS, Noveske and S&W.

This is most likely the best $3.00 you can spend on your AR if you are using a standard trigger guard. I have them on all 4 of my current lowers and they really help with the bite. You might have to loosen the pistol grip just a bit (don't let the safety detent spring escape) to get the Gapper into position. I have never had to do any more than that on RRA, DMPS, and Oly Arms lowers.

Get one for each AR you own. You'll wonder how/why you went so long with it. This device returns huge back for the buck. These should be installed at the factory by every AR manufacturer!
