Hogue OverMolded stocks have fiberglass skeletons with the same permanently-bonded rubber coating used on Hogue's popular handgun grips. The non-slip coating is quiet and durable. The grip and forend have a cobblestone texture for a sure grip. All stocks come with Uncle Mike's swivel studs and recoil pads. Fits all Post 180 Prefix Serial Number Mini 14 and Mini 30 Models.

I tried a Mini-14 with the Hogue stock. In my opinion, a much better match than using the Poly OEM Ruger style.

Very nice, very solid. Perfect length of pull for me. Used this as a replacement for Mini 14 Ranch rifle wood stock. Love it. Feels like an adult grown up rifle now. Very tight fit. Love the textured finish also. Would buy again in an instant. Not sure I have been more pleased with a product than this one. Buy it!

Installed this stock on a new Mini-14 Target, SN 596------.It just could not have been easier, fits like the factory thumbhole laminated model. Follow Hogues instructions, watch how things fit, wiggle apply pressure with your hands, goes right together. Stock shaves a pound off weight, provides sling swivel attachment, shortened butt length enough to see full scope view without straining the neck! With the hard rubber and cobblestone feels great and secure when mounting or shooting. Ordered from Midway on Sunday received on following Thursday! Life is good!!

I was a little apprehensive about buying an aftermarket stock for my Mini 14. I've seen a lot of junk out on the market and didn't want to be stuck with one that I didn't like. After reading reviews of the Hogue I thought I'd give it a try...what's the worst that could happen....send it back? Well, I was really surprised. I think this is the best stock on the market. I had the stock mounted in seven minutes flat. It fit the gun perfectly with no modifications needed and makes it look like a real rifle now compared to some toy. (It had an aftermarket folding stock on the mini that came with it from the previous owner) The length of pull could be a little longer for me, but I'm certain it would be great for normal size people. I give this stock five stars and I never see it being replaced again by the folder. It gives the gun a real no nonsense, all business look and that's just what I was looking for. Good job Mr. Hogue.

The fit, finish, and feel ...

The fit, finish, and feel of this stock is excellent. However, I kept having a problem with the forearm liner popping up every time I removed the barrel and action from the stock. I eventually located the problem, me. I had not installed the forearm liner correctly. The liner should be held at the rear by the two plastic clips. Pushing the plastic clips back some and then using some force with a screwdriver snapped the liner into place. Keep this in mind when installing the forearm liner.

I have a 183 xxxxx series Mini 14, I have often read bad reviews due to improper stock bedding issues. Personally I only encountered one problem with my original wood stock. The magazine was difficult to put in or out whether empty or full. I purchased and installed this stock and it corrected the problem. It gave a modern look to my early 80's rifle, a better feel, and it does shot quite a bit better. I couldn't be happier

I would have given it five stars but the instructions are non-existent. They only show installation of the version for a 10/22. Installation is easy after you remove the mold flashing which prevented the metal liner from snapping in between the two plastic pins which hold down the rear of the liner. My wife commented that it looks much better than the original green laminated stock. Great recoil pad.
