Product Information

Timney Featherweight Triggers are precision machined and hand-fitted to provide a crisp trigger pull. They feature a lightweight alloy housing with machined and hardened steel working surfaces. Adjustable for creep and overtravel. Requires fitting by a qualified gunsmith. Fits all large and small ring Mausers including the Yugoslavian M48, Husqvarna, Interarms Mark X. Will not fit: Swedish Mausers and carbine actions with "KAR 98" on the siderails.

Easiest upgrade to ...

Easiest upgrade to install ever! Fit my 98 turk like a glove. Remove old trigger by pushing out one pin. Installs by placing pin back and tightening a screw. Has a great feel and clean pull. I dont know why i went so long without it.

I installed this trigger ...

I installed this trigger on an Austrian Steyr large ring 98 in .308 and found it had one problem. The sear stuck up through the bolt channel webbing about .05 inch too much and would not disengage the cocking piece upon pulling the trigger. This was an easy fix with a die grinder and some patience and may not be a problem for everyone. The webbing on my rifle is .14 inch thick and I had to take .05 inch off of the sear. Honestly though, I was shocked that this was the only modification I had to make to get the trigger to fit my gun. The 98 Mauser is one of the most widely copied guns on earth so new parts that just "drop in" are a pipe dream. I'm surprised Timney got this close! Overall, I'm well pleased with the trigger! Endlessly adjustable and seems to hold it's adjustment and stand up to punishment. Well Done, Timney!

The trigger is highly ...

The trigger is highly adjustable, but you need to be careful with the adjusting nuts. Mine are a little rounded off. I have won several 100 yard prone matches with this trigger. Once I got it set I haven't touched it in 2700 shots.

Clean pull. Worth the ...

Clean pull. Worth the cost.WARNING: it seemed like an easy installation that I did myself. it worked like a charm. however, if I pressed hard enough on the back of the bolt I could get the gun to fire without pulling the trigger. I highly recommend you get this unit installed by a professional. The sear needed to be adjusted and shaped and I had the screws set once it had the pull weight I wanted to avoid changes and mis-fires.

3 minute install (one ...

3 minute install (one pin), and the trigger is a million times better then the military trigger that was on it. I like the window, when it's cocked you can see the "sear" in the trigger so you can tell how much is engaged. Trigger is ribbed and looks great on my rifle. You can't see the gold section once it's installed in a stock. It's the best trigger I have used on a gun.

I just installed this ...

I just installed this trigger on a Turkish 38 Mauser. Nice trigger (metal, unlike Bold) that broke cleanly. I did have to remove wood between trigger and mag well , this is a small spot and I creaked the wood. Was fine after a little epoxy but I have not had to alter this are with two Bold triggers (K98 and M48). The breakage was my fault, not the trigger. I like the Timney maybe a tad more than Bold but it is really a toss up. The Timney has a slight edge in how cleanly it breaks.

Worth every penny! It was ...

Worth every penny! It was very easy to install on my Interarms Argentine Mauser. I wish I had a trigger like this on all my rifles and shotguns! The feel is smooth with no take-up and breaks like glass.
