Berger's Flat Base Target Bullets are the perfect answer for those shooters looking for a great short range bullet for shooting targets or taking out varmints. These bullets feature a thicker jacket to ensure that the bullet gets to the target each and every time the trigger is pulled. Target bullets were primarily designed for target shooting but they are also effective on larger varmints. This is not loaded ammunition.

I purchased these bullets ...

I purchased these bullets to try out in my Ruger #1V in 6mm PPC. This is a prairie dog rifle, not a competition rifle.Using a fairly common BR load of 27 grains of VV N133 with a Fed 205M primer in Norma brass, I got 0.60 to 0.75 inch groups with the test loads. They take out PDs with authority out to 400 yards, though most of my shots are inside 300. I don't have a three-thousand dollar BR rifle, but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to try these bullets in it.
