The Ultimate Sniper Stock features a completely adjustable cheekpiece and buttpad for a perfect fit. The A rear elevation screw, coupled with an angled forend, provides precise elevation adjustments. Includes flush mounted sling swivel studs on the left and right, front and rear. The aluminum bedding block free-floats up to a 1-1/4" bull barrel while the 2-1/2" wide forearm provides a steady shot. Length of pull is 13-1/4" and can be adjusted in 3/4", 1/2" or 1/4" increments using spacers (sold separately). The bottom of stock is heavily serrated behind pistol grip and has a fine elevation adjustment knob that is removable. Angled forend makes bi-pod legs less likely to snag when folded. Durable polymer construction with a lifetime guarantee.

Notes:

The Choate® Sniper and Varmint ADL stocks will work with Remington® Model 700™ ADL and BDL firearms. The ADL uses a blind magazine well, the BDL uses a hinged floorplate. The BDL will work with the Choate® ADL stocks, but once installed it will have a blind bottom magazine. Modification by a gunsmith is necessary to allow the use of a hinged floorplate with Choate® Sniper and Varmint stocks.

It's big, heavy and ...

It's big, heavy and ugly.... I love it. I have it coupled with a 26" Bull Barrel 308 and it floats with tons of space to spare. It improved my grouping significantly. The weight of the stock virtually killed the recoil making it much more enjoyable to shoot all day. The rear dial knob on the base of the stock is really convenient. When coupled with a sturdy bipod it will hold you on target. The serrations on the hand grip and forearm are very aggressive so there is little chance of slippage. The only downfall I could see is if you still want to hunt in a treestand this stock is not a wise choice for you. But from a bench or prone it is a really comfortable conversion.

*Note, this stock comes with the bipod adapter. The stock is massive, the best piece on my Rem700 varmint build. I now own a .223 that kicks like a suppressed .32 if that's possible. Its heavy as all get out but that's what I wanted so I'm happy.

I loved the looks and ...

I loved the looks and functionality of this stock for my new 700 build, so I decided to buy one. So far I have been pretty pleased. Mine is a 700 SPS varmint in .308 with a 26" heavy barrel and it weighs 14.5 lbs. Not a problem for me because I mostly do bench shooting. The great things about this stock that have been reviewed here are accurate. I have had a couple of issues that I would like to share...I use the high cheek piece in the left hand position. When it is moved to the forward position, the bolt hits the cheek piece, so I just moved it back. This is really a minor problem that I can adjust to. The other problem is that with this stock, I could only load 3 rounds instead of 4. My 700 originally had the hinged floor plate and the new stock does not. The instructions say if you have one with the hinged floor plate you have to use the supplied spacer on the bottom of the mag box. The only problem is that the spacer is a little wide on the sides and the follower won't go down far enough to allow for the fourth round. I was able to make some modifications to the spacer, and now I can get 4 rounds in the box. I have not read anything about anyone having these problems, so I must just have isolated issues.I painted the gun, stock, and scope in Duracoat camo and the stock took the paint very well and the whole setup looks awesome. It is a very comfortable stock to shoot but is a little different and will take some getting use to. This is a very beefy stock with some great features and I would highly recommend it.

I have had several of these stocks on various Remington 700 rifles I've owned. They are very heavy (and heavy duty) and provide a very stable platform for long range shooting. The stock will adjust to every shooter no matter how he likes his rifle set-up, but again, it adds a lot of weight to the rifle. If you have a rifle that kills on one end and cripples on the other (300 win. mag., etc.), this is the stock you want on it! The stock takes paint extremely well and allows the owner to camo it to any pattern he is capable of producing. I have added one to my Remington 700ML (muzzleloader) along with a Bushnell Elite 10x40 scope for long range sniping of water-filled enemy milk jugs out to 600 yards. Wanna talk about an afternoon of fun!!!

This is a serious ...

This is a serious looking, heavy duty,rhino-tough,rugged and well made tactical stock that fit my Rem. 700 BDL barreled action so well it needed no additional bedding work. A ROCK SOLID rest is achieved from a bench or prone when equipped with a Harris bipod on it's adjustable mount.Length of pull can be adjusted with butt-pad spacers,however one of the screws was stripped out on mine-probably overtorqued at the factory. The forend is unusual, square,massive and would free float the heaviest barrel. It's heavy, unwieldy and not suitable for a sporter that sees carry and offhand shooting. I returned mine for this reason but would love to see Choate make this tough stock in a conventional sporter type stock without the crazy forend. For the bench, military & police use it would rate 5 stars,however I couldn't warm up to it for my use.
