I bought a set of these rings to put on a low recoil rifle, based mostly on price. They turned out to be better than expected. Seem strong, solid and hold tight. They also didn't mar the finish on my scope tube. An outstanding value in my opinion. I will be purchasing more.

These rings worked great for me. Besides mounting scopes they also work great for mounting 1" lights like the Maglite XL50 onto picatinny, glock and weaver rails. Keep any gap in the split rings away from the base to avoid throwing off the spacing in the quick release mechanism. Do this by tightening the two screws in the base completly before clamping the scope into position with the single top ring screw. I also like the torx head fasteners and wrench that comes with these rings. Plus the back of the package pops open so you don't have to hack it to pieces to get it open either. Dollar for dollar you're not going to beat these rings in the quick release category.

I rate these rings 5 stars. They compare well to the Burris, Leupold, and are similar to the Warne. I've installed maybe 5 sets, and suspect the people that had issues with the grip on the base probably didn't have them sufficiently tight on the scope. If tightened on the scope they grip fine. If not they won't tighten enough to grip the base. Mine have all worked great. I'm adding more to the cart now. Just a great value.

I made certain to use the Durasight base with the Durasight QD rings so that I didn't have any compatability issues between the two. The scope's been on and off my ProHunter 209x50 more times than I can count and it always delivers the same tight groups in the same location on my targets. I would recommend them and would buy them again!

I ordered the set with bases for a CVA Buckhorn. After rebate, the rifle was only $99 so I wasn't keen on spending much more than that on scope, bases, & rings. The rifle gives consistent 3" groups with Hornady 240 gr. .429" XTPs in Hornady's sabots, and while these rings don't match the quality of Warne QD rings, so far they're doing fine. I've been using them through the summer, shooting 20-30 rounds every other weekend. I use QD rings so I can detach the optics & let the barrel soak in hot water on the way home (in a 3" PVC pipe with test plugs on both ends) and after 10 removals/re-mountings, I still get that 3" group in the black. I'm using the Durasight bases so maybe that's the way to go given that other reviewers couldn't get the rings to grab Weaver/Picatinny rails consistently. As for the nylon washers, I've never found it necessary to horse the levers down hard enough to do that. I turn them til they stop under finger pressure, then give them another 1/8-1/4 turn at most. I've done that with other rifles & while it's necessary to do that again once I've had the rifle out in the cold a while during your seasons, I've had better consistency with torque measurable in inch/pounds than I've seen by horsing them down like lugnuts - and my threads have never stripped out, either. If you're not ready to put up the money for steel, these at least seem to me to be a better choice than the standard aluminum low-end rings.

Ordered these for a Marlin 1895. They would not grab the weaver base properly. Where the ring made contact with the base, one side was deeper than the other. Sent them back.

Poor construction, will ...

Poor construction, will not grab weaver base properly (only a few tenths of an inch of the ring clamp fits on the base). Cheap plastic washer under levers squishes out levers when tight. I'm returning these for a pair of Burris detachable. You get what you pay for.
