I regularly use the standard CLP for cleaning and storing firearms. I decided to give this a try. I cannot rate it higher than 3 stars because I have no idea if it's any different than the regular CLP. Time will tell. Maybe I should follow-up with this review in 5 years...

After cleaning and oiling three guns and storing for six months there is no gummy residue or rust on either of them. I now use it on all of my guns. This is one fine product!

I've switched from Eezox ...

I've switched from Eezox to CLP Collector for rust prevention. I've used Eezox for years but have found that in a carry gun pocket lint seems to allow moisture to wick under the Eezox coating and allow rust spots to form. CLP Collector shrugs off the lint and keeps on protecting. I'm sold.

I use this following cleaning with Hoppes #9 on my military gun collection. I have been using it for 2 years now and can't see any reason to use any other oil.

Great product. Saved my valuable collection from rust after water seeped across the floor of my gun room and got under the safes. Moisture entered the safes around the anchor bolts and condensed on several guns when the temp dropped. Took a few days for me to notice the situation and examine the guns. (desiccant didn't absorb all the moisture) Only light, insignificant corrosion was found on a couple of polished bolt handles which had been handled since applying the Break Free Collector. I'm sold on this product. Be sure to coat the bores too.

Your gun will not rust with this product. Also in my Sig P229 I shoot thousands of rounds and no jamming or build up of gun powder on oiled parts!
