I shot an email to ...

I shot an email to Tactical Solutions and a nice lady named Amy told me this scope base will work with factory Mark II and Mark III pistols; however, you will need to buy different screws and some Ruger factory rear sights are too long for the scope base to fit. For mounting on a Pac-Lite receiver, 6-40 screws are required and are included with this scope base. For mounting on a factory Mark II or Mark III, you will need to buy 6-48 screws. Ruger uses different length factory rear sights. The scope base might fit or it might not fit depending on the length of your rear sight. You might have to purchase a new rear sight or remove the rear sight and buy the Tactical Solutions scope base with a rear sight integral into the scope base (MidwayUSA product number 959224).

Most folks are having an ...

Most folks are having an issue with this because they are not reading what this is for.... A Tactical Solution Pac-Lite upper....it is not for a stock Ruger upper. This is a quality product that was made for a specific aftermarket barreled receiver.... if you need a mount for a stock Ruger one can be had for a lot less right here on Midway.... Chevy wheels wont fit on a Ford....

Nice product. I put this ...

Nice product. I put this on my Ruger 22/45 and it looks great. When you place the mount on your Ruger 22/45, the holes are not going to line up unless you cut the mount or remove the rear sight. Instead, I turned the mount around, and found that two of the holes (front and rear) lined up perfectly. Since this is only a 22 cal, with very little recoil, if you tighten the mount down with some Loc-tite, its not going to move.

I found the same problem ...

I found the same problem as the others, the rear of the piece needed to be shortened. I had also purchased a screw assortment which had the correct screw thread size. I am looking to purchase two more. The new red dot scopes have allowed me to improve my shooting scores at the meets.

Great product!!! It's ...

Great product!!! It's made for a Pac-Lite receiver, but with very little work, mounts on stock Ruger. I removed .07" from rear site end of mount, painted it black and installed with part # 988-173 screws from Midway. That's all it took to mount on Ruger Mark III 22/45. Don't forget the loc-tite!!

Excellent product once I ...

Excellent product once I got it mounted. My only complaint is the the mounting screws were of an unusual "fine" thread size. I understand this is common and proper in the gun industry, but it's very difficult to find a tap this size locally. If you order this and are going to drill and tap the receiver yourself, better order the correct size tap at the same time. I think some of the Rugers some pre-drilled so this would not be an issue. In every other respect I found this to be a fine piece of gear.

I bought this for my 5.5" ...

I bought this for my 5.5" Bull Barrel MKIII. While the item is obviously of top notch construction, it is unusable out of the box. The rear sight must be removed for installation. The fatal flaw is that the screws are threaded differently than the factory drilled holes.
