The Lee Classic Cast Breech Lock Single Stage Press is the press that Lee Customers have been asking for. It takes the proven design of the Class Cast press and adds the Breech Lock feature giving reloaders the convenience of quick-change die bushings. Press features a rigid, cast iron "O" frame with an attractive baked powder finish, large opening and 4" ram stroke. The powerful steel compound linkage with travel stop helps to prevent "cam-over". and the automatic primer arm, primes at the bottom of the stroke The large 1-1/8" diameter ram ensures there is minimal flex and includes large and small primer cups. Accepts both standard 7/8"-14 threaded dies in the breech lock die bushings. Adjustable for right or left hand use.

I have beed reloading since the 1964. This the third press I have used. I started with a Pacific press, moved to a Lyman turret press and just got the Lee Classic Cast. It is by far the best of the three. I reload magnum cartridges and this press resizes them without effort. I would recommend the Lee Classic press to anyone interested in a good quality press.

Been using for several years on everything from .223 thru 30-06. Great press. Strong, stable and easy to use. Especially like the quick change collets. Can't imagine ever wearing it out. Probably load 2500-3000rds in an average year on it.

Started reloading using RCBS equip. which is outstanding stuff. But between this press and the rock chucker supreme, I will choose this one every time. Simple tough and smooth design, I like everything on the rock chucker but I like everything on this press a little more from the linkage to the priming system to the quick change bushings it just has such a better flow to me. Try it you'll love it too!

I tried to start reloading with a Lee Pro 1000 progressive press. This was doomed to failure. I talked to a number of friends who all said that a single stage press was the ultimate way to go so I ordered the Breech Lock press from Midway. I was up and ready to batch load quickly. I've had this outstanding little press for around six weeks and have loaded over 3000 rounds of .380ACP, 9mm, 40S&W & 45ACP. Granted it might not be as fast as a turret or progressive but it always works. The only problem I had was it was spitting spent primers all over my garage floor. Turns out this was operator error since my best friend told me you need the primer setter in the ram when depriming. Hadn't thought of that originally since I was priming with the Lee hand primer. Now, when depriming I put the primer seater in the ram and all of my spent primers go where they are supposed to. Have breech locks for all of my dies which make changeovers fast and easy. This press is an outstanding value and will really do the job. I highly recommend it over the more high priced units.

Press is everything I hoped it would be. It was extremely easy to assemble and set up. I already use a Lee Classic turret press, but I needed a heavier duty press to resize and perform other tasks that required more torque. I read several reviews and finally settled on this press, and I am very happy I did. Breech lock works great and there is absolutely no play in the solid compound linkage. The "rocking" primer tool works flawlessly (much improved over the "Y" tool used with my turret press). I still use my turret for bullet seating and crimping, but I will use the cast press for everything else. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the de-priming system doesn't quite work as advertized. After de-priming about 100 fired cases, only about 3 made it into the tray, and only 1 of those ended up in the tube. I use a Lee depriming die instead of depriming while resizing. Maybe the system would work better with a Lee resizing die. The de-priming system works better on the Cast press without breech lock, because the tube is connected to the bottom of the ram. So, besides sweeping up spent primers (which I'm used to doing anyway) the press works flawlessly.

This press replaces my old Lee Turret press from the 1980's which I always used like a single stage anyway. This press is built like a truck in the USA and very attractive to the eye. I am very satisfied.

This is just a great all around press. I've been loading for a looooong time and decided I wanted another high quality single stage. After a serious comparison with the Hornady L-N-L, it was a no brainer. It's a slick as you can ask for and solid as a rock. The quick change breech lock system works great. It's a bargain in a single stage. I also have the Cast Turret press. A++ on both.

Perfect single stage ...

Perfect single stage press. Loads accurately 6mm BR and 308 Win for competition. Large clearance is also great for my 460 Wby and 30-378 Wby. Pistol rounds in 44 mag and 45 ACP also load easy. I love the priming system using the Lee safety prime. The press has a lot of leverage for full length rifle case sizing. Nice primer disposal system. This unit beats my Lyman press by several miles which I now have sold on e-bay. Lowest price for its class. Get one now!!
