The quality of this base ...

The quality of this base is great. It may be ok for Savage centerfire rifles, but don't use it on the Savage 220 slug gun. It protrudes into the ejection port area and blocks the empty from getting out. These guns have a problem with that anyway if you don't slam the bolt back hard enough, but with this base the empty hull will never get out.
