Great, ergonomic grips. ...

Great, ergonomic grips. They may not look as comfortable as the stock boot grip, but the boot type has two problems: first is that it interferes with speed loaders, and second is that the portion that extends below the trigger guard moves your middle finger lower on the grip causing your hand to be in the wrong position and your pinky to have no grip at all. These wood grips fix both of those problems while having the added benefit of a wider area to mate against the shooter's palm which reduces felt recoil.

Unlike the sales photo shown, it did not come with the screw. The screw from my original 1969 grips is not the same thread size. If it came with the screw, I would give it 4 stars as they are decent grips & reasonably priced.

While the wood to metal fit was good, the grips themselves were too wide. I found an original, but used (mint) set at a gun show that were made to the older width.
