Should have mentioned that contrary to the item description, this is an OPEN muzzle design, which in my opinion contributes to it's adaptability.The large frame version is also open muzzle.

This is a fantastic holster! I've used Ross products before, mainly belt slide types, but was not sure what they ment by "medium" in the description. Needing a holster for my Star Firestar M40, I gave it a try based on my previous Ross products. WOW!!! This thing is great!Fits the Star, a CZ-83, Glock 22, and even a SIG 229. The holster is designed to index on the trigger guard, and there is enough leather to handle even the Glock's barrel length.The real magic is in the retention strap, which is not only removeable, but totally adjustable for each gun due to its velcro holster attachment. Just holster the gun, snap on the strap and pull it over and press it down on the velcro.Fantastic!
