Ballistol Sportsman's Gun Oil is all-natural, non-toxic and does not lose its ability to lubricate even when mixed with water. Cleans black powder residue and is not petro-chemical based, so it will not affect a "seasoned" muzzleloader or black powder cartridge gun.

Safe product with many uses

It softens carbon, cleans firearms, leaves a good film of lube which stays on, and is also good for your leather holster. I won't say it is a replacement for your best bore solvents, but it is possibly the best all around cleaner and lube. I highly recommend it.

Ballistol was originally designed for the German Army before WWI. They wanted an all purpose oil not only to clean and lube firearms, but treat wood, leather, and even burns and cuts. This stuff is the very best and of course it is plant based and non-toxic. Hickok45 uses this and only this to clean all his guns, and that is enough for me.

Stuff works great! Cleans the barrels perfectly! Don't worry about getting it on wood or plastic or leather! I even use it to clean/lube my bicycle!!! This product has improved the quality of my life!

Great product. Used it on everything from tools to guns. Penetrates, lubes protects. Buddy of mine was duck hunting and dropped his shotgun in the mud, washed off in the puddle. It was like rain beading up on a freshly waxed car.

I really like how pleasant and easy Ballistol aerosol is to use. Many people mention the unusual odor, but I find the odor very pleasant indeed. Knowing that its non-toxic is important to me also. The long history and excellent reputation of Ballistol makes it worth trying. It may be a bit more costly than some products, but I find that a little goes a long way, so it's worth it. Seems to clean, protect, and lubricate very well, without making you feel as though you are jeopardizing your own health in order to keep your firearms healthy and safe. And the price here at Midway is as good as you will find anywhere.

Greatest gun oil ever. My GSG-5 misfired all the time using Rem oil. With this it fires smooth as silk. If you buy this, you'll be experimenting with it on everything! Every can of WD-40 I had went in the garbage within a few days of trying this stuff.

This is a great product. It cleans, lubricates, and protects better than anything else I have ever used. I especially appreciate the fact that you can spray it on the entire gun and it won't harm the finish on wood or synthetic stocks. I'll probably continue to use Hoppe's No. 9 powder solvent in addition to this (because I'm a creature of habit and like the smell), but it's really not necessary. As one poster said, Ballistol is the closest thing you'll find to a "universal gun juice". Works great around the house, too. It's like WD-40 - only better, in my opinion. Try it, you'll like it.
