Very happy with fit on my ...

Very happy with fit on my Saiga. Mount is sturdy once tightened down using allen screws. You can still use your iron sights by looking through the middle of the hollow rail. The height is about right for a red dot or scope with low mounts. A lot less bulky than using a side mount. Overall, very good product and the price is right.

Maybe good for some AK ...

Maybe good for some AK applications. I found that the optics sit too high and makes it uncomfortable to shoot. In addition it further increases the angular differential between the bore and optics. Meaning greater adjustment compensation for ranges closer and beyond the distance of optical zero. My suggestion is don't buy this. Get a side mount scope rail instead.

Just came this afternoon. Less than 3 minutes it is mounted on BWK-92 holding a 4X-16X Center Point Scope. Sighted in, in less than 12 rounds, and shooting groups less than 1/2 inch at 50 yards. Will get together with son in law and sight in at 100, then check at 200. And will compare to his Bushmaster AR-15. Hoping for a nice coyote rifle. Will post later with those results. Looks very good! And is Solid!

Makes my romanian SAR-1 look sick! I love the fact that you can easily switch between iron sights and what ever scope/red dot you have installed on top. It is much more solid than my original cover. Only gave it 4 stars because when installed there is a slight gap between frame and sides of the cover. Even though the small allen screws eliminate the rocking because of this gap it still might cause a problem in the future.

I bought this to mount a red dot on my romanian ak. A little heaveier than the factory one, but it's rock solid and perfect for mounting a red dot.

Tried a side mount for my Saiga 223 that did not work. This mount worked great. After mounting a BSA red dot I aligned the dot with the iron sights (you can see both with this site mount). Much to my surprise when I went to fire it it was dead on!!. May need to re-zero after cleaning, not sure yet.

Only complaint is with the forward rivets. Popped loose after 100 rounds. Nothing a welder couldn't fix. Other than that it's a good product.
