Reliable ignition with a smooth pull

I combined this main spring with an 11 pound rebound spring in 2 N-frame S&Ws and 1 L frame revolver and the result with the digital trigger metter was always between 7 and 8.5 pounds. I can't recommend this combination enough. It makes the typical S&W factory pull of 12 pounds into something that's very shootable and yet goes bang every time even with CCI hard primers.

I wanted to improve the factory trigger pull on a new S&W 625 PC, so I ordered this spring kit. With regard to the main spring, it feels to be just as heavy as the stock unit. With regard to the rebound springs, the 13# spring actually wasn't enough to reset the trigger, and the heaviest rebound spring resets the trigger but lacks the better feel of the factory rebound spring. My advice is to replace springs in conjunction with a honing of the action or an action job. To ensure reliability, stick with factory or near factory spring weights unless the gun has had action work. You know the stock components will work, and the gun will smooth out some with use.

This is the best ...

This is the best improvement for a standard S&W trigger out there. I wanted the standard-power kit since I routinely carry my 25-13 Mountain Gun concealed. It had a great SA pull, but a DA pull that stacked enough that I pulled the lightweight gun off target. During installation, I must admit I found that my trigger reset problem was due to some edges and nubs left on my MIM trigger group parts, which I handled, but the trigger pull is still much improved, even with no shooting. Stacking is gone, the DA pull is consistent, and since I used the 13lb rebound spring, overall pull weight is noticeably down (10-20%?). The SA pull is unaffected. I kept the mainspring screw tight, too, as I'd recommend everyone do. This kit IS full-power, though--if you're just a target shooter, and really want to drop the pull, try kit #222267; this kit is great, though, for any duty or hunting gun that must go bang!

Fitment is great with no issues. Wanted the standard hammer spring to avoid any light strikes. Used the 13lbs rebound spring on 686 & 625 on top of stoning all the parts. Triggers are now excellent, both in single and double action. This hammer spring eliminates the staging in the double action pull. Replacing all my revolvers with this spring set.

This one fit like a glove ...

This one fit like a glove and completely fixed the misfires from my M19 357 Mag. It works like a new one now, and the replacement spring didn't stiffen up the action; it just increased the hammer power and makes the primers go bang.

I installed these springs ...

I installed these springs in four of my Smith and Wesson, .45ACP revolvers, two model 625s and two model 22s. I used the 13 lb trigger return spring. The triggers were reduced from a 12 lb. pull to 9 lbs. double action mode. The triggers are definitely lighter and smoother. I sometimes carry the model 22s on duty as a law enforcement officer. I do not feel that I am giving anything up with the lighter return spring.
