This shroud with 3 position safety provides bolt locked, bolt open and fire positions with positive detent. Also retains the gas defecting design of the original shroud. Available for both right and left-handed shooters. Fitting by a qualified gunsmith is required.

This is for a left hand ...

This is for a left hand action only. It will not work for someone wanting a left side lever for a regular right hand Mauser. I fitted this to a Charles Daly (Zastava) left hand Mauser. The Gentry has a more positive middle position detent then other side swing Mauser safeties I have used. One problem I had with this design is that the rear shroud is not clearance cut like many others and with the original striker spring could not be assembled, that is the spring was fully compressed but there was not enough clearance to turn the cocking piece into place. Spring could have been cut but a different spring worked
