I purchased this stuff to polish two brand new barrels as a break-in procedure I had read about. Rubbed a good amount into a bore mop and made 20 back and forth passes. (By this time the bore mop was a solid black color.) Then gave them a real good cleaning with Shooters Choice and clean patches. Started by shooting 10 rounds, then another thorough cleaning with the bore mop and more Montana paste and another 20 passes. Clean and repeat. I don't know if it really polished the bore and made a difference, but both rifles are extremely accurate. I'm hoping the polishing helped and will aid in shorter cleaning time down the road. Appears to be a good product and a little paste goes a long way.

WOW is right! I thought I cleaned my SKS but the next time I took it out I found that the cheap Russian ammo I burned through for fun left a rusty bore. I put a bore brush on my electric drill to remove the loose stuff, cleaned the bore and ordered Montana X-Treme to polish with. Montana X-Treme is awsome!! Polished out the remaining rust and brought the bore back to an eye blinding shine. Used some on other firearms I had just cleaned and the crap that came out was jaw dropping. Great product!

I applied some of this stuff on my Mosin Nagat. The rifle was already clean but I decided to give the old girl another go and boy did I get a lot of fouling. I must have run 10 patches through that came out filthy. This product does what its supposed to do and then some. Ill definitely use this stuff on the rest of my toys.

WOW!!! I always keep all of my guns clean. Bore brush, solvent, elbow greese. I say agin WOW! this stuff works. I thought the Bore's were clean, now I know they are clean. revitalize's old bores, make's new one's shine. Pulls out crud you thought you got out. If you are on the fence buy it. If you don't believe in it try it anyway.

I clean my bore after every shooting session. I don't let anything build up in the bore. I cleaned my bore as usual and then followed it up with Montana X-treme on a bore mop. A ton of powder fouling came out. I had to run 10 more patches through the bore to get it all out. Bottom line is that I thought my usual routine was good and I have since found out there is still crud in my bore that I had to scrub out with a good paste like this. It has worked great for me on my firearms. It really helped to clean out a 17HM2 that fouled very badly in the first 5 inches of the bore. Very rough. Now it cleans up easily with this oily paste after a quick scrub with a bore mop. I love this stuff.

I've been using this on an EDM Windrunner for barrel break-in, and I've found that it works pretty well. The one thing I don't like about it is the syringe dispenser. It is somewhat of a hassle to squirt some out and then pull the plunger back to keep it from continually squirting. It is also a little tricky getting the proper amount of compound on your patch.

Used it to polish up an old M1917 barrel that was dark and rusty. The bore shines like a new penny. This stuff is great.
