I was wary of the promag brand due to some past experiences but I wanted a higher capacity mag for my sagia 12. The price on these is good but reviews were mixed, I decided to take a chance and I was pleasantly surprised, the Promag functioned flawlessly in my sagia 12. No need to file down or trim, fit nice out of the box. It was a tight fit but that is good. I started with low steel bird shot (1290fps) 10 rounds as fast as I could pull the trigger, Perfect. Next, some low brass bird shot, perfect. Last high brass, perfect. Some of the rounds were over 15 years old, I didn't have a single malfunction with over 200 rounds. I will definately be buying more of these. Perhaps those having trouble out of the sagia 12 are setting the gas tube too light?

I got 2 of the saiga 12 (10 rounder) mags made by promag. They did not lach in to the gun at all untill I shaved off a mm or two from the grip pattern on the side of the mag. After that the two of them fit real nice (I have not shot them yet). I gave them 3 stars because it was easy to fix and seemed well made but for that price I should not need to make them fit.

Funny thing is, these work flawless in my converted Saiga Izhmash rifle. I had to modify a real AK-74 soviet bakelite lug to fit lol. AK's are built with loose tolerances. I was surprised that my genuine mag didn't simply click in. Basically, it depends on your gun.

First I would like to say that my overall experiance with ProMag has been an aweful one. I have never personally bought mags made by them but I have had a few by default and they were horrible to say the least. I bought my current Saiga 12 slightly used from a friend and it came with two 10 round ProMag magazines. My expectations weren't very high due to my experiences with ProMag but so far both mags have functioned flawlesly. I gave it 4 stars because I didnt expect them to work so well and I only just started shooting my Saiga. If they continue to funtion so well I will buy more for sure and might even try the 20 rd drum.

I bought 5 of these, they come with simple directions to file down to make a custom fit with your rifle. Russian guns aren't built to tight tolerences so the are variances between guns. They fit as tight as you want because you file down more or less to leave it tight or loosen it up for faster insertion. mine have fired flawlessly with buckshot or cheapo #7 shot. I am happy with mine and would buy again.

My mag has worked 100% perfectly out of the package from the first time I threw it in the gun. Certainly may have just gotten lucky given ProMag's known spotty quality control, but will definitely be getting another.

Bought two of these and I like them. I had to do a little filing on certain places to make loading easier though. Other than that they get the job done.

You'll hear nothing really new from me. I had to Dremel and file the locking tab to get it to fit, and then it wouldn't feed fast enough to work. The interior of the mag doesn't seem to be large enough, and the shells get stuck inside the mag, and it won't feed. It might work better with a Surefire magazine spring, but the Surefire mags actually work, so I've just put the ProMag in a box and haven't messed with it again. They do look cool though.

This was a decent magazine and it fit well, if not tight. It was actually easier to get into my shotgun than the factory mag. This mag is, however, a bit temperamental. I took it to the range with a wide array of ammo and found out a lot. It really likes brass shotgun shells. The aluminum or steel rounds expand/deform in the chamber and tend to stick, which causes a FTE (not the magazine). They also do not move up and down well in the magazine. The brass did not have this problem. The other issue deals with the type of load used. It appears as though you can only use full power loads (no low recoil). When I shot 3" shells of 00-Buck with brass it worked flawlessly. The reason for only 3 stars is that I would like to shoot anything, and for the price I would expect that. Anyway, I like having a 10-round detachable 12-gauge magazine. I will buy a few more...

FTF and/or FTE every couple of rounds. Factory mag works just fine. I've used ProMags in ak74s that worked good. These unfortunately, do not.
