I hate to let the best kept secret out....this is "IT" ...the slide stop that would just drop in your 1911 and work. S&W got it just right. Don't let the low price fool you. Kudos to S&W.

I bought 3 of these for my parts box due to the raving reviews. All of them had a nasty MIM casting mark on the pin at the same spot (I could live with this). But 2 of them had pins that are less then 90 degrees and this scratched my frame. The 3rd one had a pin that was greater than 90 degrees so while it didn't scratch the frame, the magazine follower would sometimes pop over it. Sent it back to Midway.

This is the single most impressive 1911 component I've ever had. It has a small void on the front of the pin but otherwise is excellent looking, and works perfectly for $5. That's $45 less than EGW. Pretty part when the gun is together, a pin diameter of .199 +-.001". Really pretty impressive.

Skeptical due to low price. This is #4 on 1977 Colt Combat Commander. Part dropped right in and worked 100%. This part works and fits better than 2 previous replacements. Polished backside where scratched frame, and rounded tip of pin. Made of harder steel than previous stops. Matte blue is good and edges not sharp. Paid more for replacements. For price, I'll get a spare!

I ordered three, as spares. Perfect fit and perfect function in a Colt and in the Rock Islands, and at a fraction of what is charged by the makers of the make-believe stuff. I left them in, and will just use the originals as spares, instead.

Excellent product, excellent price. Drop-in fit in my Springfield Loaded and Kimber. Much better than the MIM Kimber slide stop, though I needed to dimple it in the Kimber (to stop early slide lock); but that's the gun not this product. Works with Kimber, Wilson, Tripp, ACT and generic Shooting Star mags. Recommended.

It works very well and it fit perfectly with my Para SX1640s , this slide stop has a perfect angle to catch the follower, now my slide is always open every time I empty my magazine, not like before when I had the factory..

I have gone through about 5 different slide stops on my sons AMT because of the slide stop popping out. So far this inexpensive slide stop works.
