I got this after going through 3 or 4 different bipods and being satisfied with none of them. I really like this one and it looks and works great on my scar 16s and dpms dmr rifle. After tightening the tolerances on the rail and swivel screws and getting the height setting right (it has 4 spring-loaded settings at 1" intervals), I found the mounting system to be rock solid and very symmetrical. It's a problem I've seen in other versapod products. When retracted the bipod does not shift with momentum or rattle at all and when extended its range of motion is about 5 to 7 degrees left or right and 2 to 3 degrees elevation. There is very little wiggle room as far as it can, but this is a prone system or designed to be used from a bench rest. As a former SAW gunner I prefer a bipod that provides more stability. If you like Harris bipods you'll like this one. My main complaints are that it needs to be adjusted a bit before it mounts solid and folds up tight and that it comes covered in grease. Also, the claw feet are rock solid, but very sharp! That's a good thing for getting a solid base but be mindful that you don't put them on a surface you want to preserve or keep nice.

while the Versapo SOPMOD bipod looks like the Rock bipod, it isn't the same. The mounting method is a good idea, but poorly executed. When installed, the mounting method prevents the cant functionality from working. In trying to cant the rifle, the mount puts a lot of torque on the rail. The harris bipod and a pod-lok work much better.
