This scope replaced a 4x32 I had on my Ruger. The optics on the Simmons are crisp and clear. I sighted in at 50 yards and had no issues after a couple hundred rounds. After reading other comments about the provided rings, I decided not to use the rings it came with. The scope looks and feels very well made. It doesn't feel cheap. I'm giving it 4 stars because I haven't used it enough to know if it will be a long-lasting product... but so far, so good.

I bought two of these scopes a few months ago. I mounted the silver scope using the mounts that came with the scope on a Marlin Mod 60 SS .22 lr. I mounted the black scope on a Henry Mod.H001TM .22 WMR and bought Weaver tall see through mounts to clear the hammer and also to be able to use the iron sights. I zeroed both scopes in at 25 meters and was shooting penny sized groups of three about an inch high off of sand bags. I moved the targets out to 100 meters and the Marlin shot quarter sized groups around the bulls-eye. I tried the Henry next and the first shot was dead center with the next two shots also within a quarter sized group. For the money you can't beat these little jewels. I'm a 60 year old welder and my eyes are not what they once were, but I had no problem at all seeing clearly and hitting what I was shooting at, even in early morning and late evening light. My dad bought me my first rifle and scope when I was ten years old, so I've sent a few pro-jos downrange since then. I believe that I got a little more quality than I expected for my money, when I ordered these two scopes.

I've owned two upper mid range scopes (elite 6500 and burris euro-diamond) and this was my low entry scope. I figured it is going on a rimfire so it doesn't need anything heavy duty. There was another scope (with fine crosshairs) I was looking at in this price range but what sold me on this was the adjustable objective.I have mixed feelings on this scope. The silver finish looks a bit tacky and I suspect it will scratch off easily. Any parts of the scope that have threads are dirty with some sort of black grit. The simmons logo appears to be glued in a slight recess and just feels like it will fall off. All visible screws are of the phillips variety, not allen or torx. The magnification ring only has a dot on it and the numbers are on the main tube, requiring you to turn your head around the darn thing until you find the dot so you know which number it is lined up with. The main tube appears to be two-piece. You can see where the front half (you can see where the front half joins to the center portion where the turret assemblies sit). The thing is stamped with huge letters, made in china on the bottom.On the plus side, the optics are good. They are much better than the cheap wallyworld scope my friend picked up for about the same price. The reticle is thin in the center (I was worried it was going to be too thick). The adjusting turrets are about 2.5 times taller than pictured in the photo on midway. They are hand turnable, with the reset to zero in the form of 3 allen screws on the top edge (I guess they don't make phillips that small /sarcasm).Other Thoughts: The included rings are complete crap, I really wish they would save the money spent on the rings and use it towards some better screws. Overall, I don't think this scope will take a beating, but for a rimfire I do consider it worth the money I paid.

I purchased this scope to mount on a Marlin Model 60ssk that I just recently purchased. When I went to the range to sight it in, it shot low and so far to the right that I did not have enough windage adjustment to come even close to getting it zeroed. I went home and checked my mounting job and could not find anything wrong, but thought that maybe the rings were off or something. I bought another set of rings at a local store and remounted the scope. Went to the range today and zeroed it with no problem. It was not very far off at all. I don't know if the rings that came with it were bad or what the problem was. The rings that I remounted with are much better quality than those that came with it. I am very happy with the scope now. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of the rings, they are very cheap.

I mounted this scope on my Rem. 541T to check it out. The scope did everything it should from focusing with the A/O to tracking accurately with the target style adjustment knobs. I may upgrade it to 5 stars after more time with it in the field. I am pleased with it and would buy another.

Mounted this on a Marlin 882SS .22 magnum bolt action rifle. Very clear sight picture and the adjustable objective lens takes care of any parallax problem. Holds zero very well. The 3-9x power adjustment is VERY stiff, though - thus the 4 stars.

This scope for a 22 or 22 Mag, is absolutely a great buy and the optics are "crystal" clear. The rings that come with the scope are Dove Tail. I would change the Phillips screws for tightening down the top clamps. They will strip easily if you're not careful. I would recommend replacing the screws with Allen head screws. Other than that, this scope gets the job done.
