I have to agree on the ...

I have to agree on the lack of instructions. I searched YouTube for a video but as of this writing I could only find instructions for the 22/45 which is different from my target mark III. Anyway, the easiest way to do it takes about 60 seconds. Simply take a small punch about the same diameter of the pin that holds hammer and the bolt release in place. Slowly push the pin out while inserting the punch all the way through the frame. Let the punch move the pin out of the frame. Once the punch is all the way through leave it in the frame. The hammer and other related parts that were held in place by the pin are now attached to the punch. The original bolt release lever is on the outside of the frame so it is easily removed from the end of the punch. Install the new bolt release on the end of the punch and now push the original pin slowly back through the frame while it pushes the punch back through the frame. Be sure to NOT let the punch and the pin seperate while you are moving them through the frame. That's all folks!

Great addition to the wife's Mark II Target. Five minute installation including knocking off the sharp edges from the stamping process. Function is flawless.

Gotta rate this one a ...

Gotta rate this one a "3"... it works as advertised and gives you a larger area to release the slide, but there's a few things I don't care for with this piece. First off, it's a little flimsier than the stock part from Ruger. Secondly, it's not even slightly rounded; the edges seem quite sharp for a piece you operate with your thumb. Lastly, there were no instructions included whatsoever. I was able to install it without too much grief, but I can also see how easy it would be to screw up the innards of your Mark II when pulling out the pin that holds this piece in place. This same pin also carries the hammer and another part inside the frame of the pistol. I'd say it's worth the $10 they ask for it and it seems to work as advertised, but overall, it's not a great item.

Great item...easy to ...

Great item...easy to install and you only need one finger to close bolt on your pistol. Sometimes the factory release you need to fingers. Thanks Again Midway and Volquartsen.
