I have utilized this ...

I have utilized this sight on my AK-74 on several different outings. It took very little time to sight this product in. The red dot that is displayed is mildly blurred, but it was sighted in at 100 yards and my ammo hit within about a 6 inch circle consistently. It kept this pattern on each occasion that I went to practice. 4 stars because of the blurriness, but otherwise a fine product. This is a 1X power sight, so don't get it confused with the MOA.

You will get what you pay for. The red dot is not perfectly round with lots of reddish glare coming from the red dot system.

Scope holds zero. Fastens ...

Scope holds zero. Fastens down tight as well. For sunlight hours the scope must be set on the highest setting. There appears to be 4 small dots that make up the center mass for the "red dot". They are in the shape of a triangle; This is not a problem though. This scope was mounted on the Beretta CX4/96, 40 S&W. The front post acts as a co-witness. The rear peep was lowered down out of the way. If the dot was "rounder" I would rate this product higher. For the money it was worth it.

This product is built ...

This product is built very well and the adjustments are tight. The mounting system is perfect and has not come loose in any way. I have this on a Mossberg and after several shots I have not need to tighten it. The only reason I gave it four stars is because in the description it says 1x5 with 30mm tube. This red dot only has 1x magnification so I don't know what the 5 is for. So I was disappointed that there was no magnification. Other wise it is an awesome buy and you won't regret it. It does add a very aggressive look.MidwayUSA Note: This is a 1x with a 5 MOA dot

I was looking forward to ...

I was looking forward to getting this red dot I was a little nervous of the reviews I read, I tried it out tonight when I got it the dot is not a dot it looks like a red paintball splattered on the front of the optic. It seems these leatherwood sights are not reliable do not buy this!! No more lower end optics for me, it's gonna be either iron sights or an eotech.
