I currently have these adapters on two of my hand guns. A Ruger Super Red Hawk 44mag and Super Red Hawk 454 Casull. I'm in my second season with the 44mag and I have had NO PROBLEMS with these mounts! I'm in my first season with the 454 casull and have fired it many times and taken several White Tails this year useing Hornady 454 Casull 240gr XTP MAG, rated at 1900fps, with no problems! maybe I'm just lucky!!

Had problems with rear ...

Had problems with rear mount staying in place with a sightron 33mm tube and Hornaday 300 gr. xtp hollow points (very hot load). Reinforcedn with JB weld...worked fine

I have a Ruger International in .270. The front mount is OK but the rear mount will put the weaver mount surface over the bolt instead of back towards the buttstock. If you are trying to solve eye relief problems (as I am) this will probably not be your best option. I will be trying the Bushnell dusk and dawn scope(Bushnell#713-947)next as these have a 6 inch eye relief and I can use the original Ruger rings with it.

These are the best option I have found to use on Ruger rifles. By using this Weaver base, you can use any brand Weaver style ring you want. Another benefit is the front base extends back and there are two mounting slots. This way you can move the rings in closer so it accomodates shorter tubes. Only complaint is I wish they came in stainless.

Worked great for a short time. Side clamps are made of powdered metal, they will break. Called Burris, they sent new ones. They need to be machined steel.

This mount was recommended by Burris for my 454 casull. While shooting the 12th shot, 3 of the claws on the base broke off and the scope flew of and hit me in the forehead. I had blood running down my head and left a very bad welt. This completely damaged my Burris scope by denting the front and back of the scope when it hit the ground. DO NOT BUY this mount for high powered revolvers.
