Some of the reviews here are for "Kroil" NOT this product. Kroil is another Kano product and it is really very good solvent/penetrating oil. However, the product here is Microil, standard lubricating oil. As a lubricant, Microil works well but doesn't really surpass other standard gun oils. I keep a small plastic bottle in my cleaning kit that is labeled "Oil". It is composed of a mixture of various leftover gun oils and standard household oils with the majority of it being Microil. I use it for general lubrication and to wipe out the interior of magazines where you don't really want to use a penetrating oil or solvent, but you do want to remove residue and use just a tad of lube to insure functioning. It's also good oil for wiping down the gun after cleaning. There are better cleaning products and more high tech lubricants out there but Microil is still good gun oil.

Have used many products over the years for cleaning and have found this to best for almost anything you can think except copper remover. I have a habit of buying old guns and non-working gun and the first thing to be applied to them is Kroil. It will loosen and remove almost anything. Ten stars would be be a better rating. I just wish MidwayUSA would start selling AERO-KROIL. It is kinda hard to find and it's the best spray lubricant out there for my money.

Kroil is great for cleaning bores after moly coated bullets have been used. When mixed 50/50 with Hoppes #9, it makes the best lead removing solvent I've ever seen. Will cause lead to loosen and flake off bores like nothing else. It really is "The oil that creeps".

I have used this for quite some time and am buying more. I use it as a last step in all my rifle and pistol barrels. First, clean with your usual bore cleaner, then apply this inside the barrel. I have found that barrel residue is MUCH easier to remove after firing the weapon. It seems to "condition" the barrel, making cleanup almost effortless. Works for me.
