The Taylor Freelance +1 magazine base pad for the Smith & Wesson M&P 45 ACP model is constructed of aircraft aluminum with a black anodized finish. This magazine extension was designed specifically for IDPA competition, so a shooter could start with an 11 round magazine so there was no need to load the chamber and then add a round to the magazine (IDPA limits magazine capacity to 10 rounds). This extension will fit in the IDPA pistol box and meets the rules of the competition. It is also known as Edwards 451. This extension will work with the standard magazine spring and follower.
