My PT1911 had a trait found in some 1911s in that the slide stop tended to "walk" out of the frame a bit. Installing the Bullet Proof stop eliminated this. Very beefy unit compared to the factory stop. Wilson Combat products are top notch.

As usual with Wilson parts it's very well made and dropped right in with no fitting. It does differ slightly in color from my Wilson tactical thumb safety though and this looks a bit odd but doesn't bother me. I went to this standard length slide stop to replace my Wilson extended slide stop that was causing premature slide lockbacks in competition. As expected this problem went away immeadately upon installing the Wilson "Bulletproof" slide stop. I figured I was "thumbing" the extended one without realizing it. One of the ways it differs from a standard slide stop and from almost anyone elses is the thumb pad is actually a 90 degree ledge instead of the usual 45 degree angled ledge that most slide stops have. It's much easier to hit in the heat of competition (or battle) Pricey but probably the very best slide stop you could buy for your gun.
