I'd initially thought ...

I'd initially thought this was made of rigid plastic. The whole unit is actually composed of several different layers of a flexible foam material held together by three long plastic rods. The small label includes instructions on how to disassemble it to put two racks together as one in custom configurations, but this will require threaded rods, nuts and washers from a hardware store. You can use the same method to reduce the rack to two slots if you so desire (you'd end up with some extra parts though).Although the sides of each division are flexible, the handguns shouldn't move around as long as you place the muzzle end securely in the opening at the front. Perhaps a revolver with a thin barrel might fall over to one side, but all the automatics I've tried on it have stayed steady this way.

Perfect for my needs

This rack holds pistols of varying sizes and works as advertised. I liked it so much I bought a second one, and will buy third unit when they go on sale again. It holds the pistols firmly in place and can be modified to a wider single unit if you get some longer all thread and put multiple units together.

No one rack will work ...

No one rack will work with every gun. The Hyskore works fabulous with 1911's, Glocks, XD's, SAA and the like. Best with wider barrels & or slides. Not so well for most wheel guns. That's my experience. Buying another one to add to the mix. Nice protection and organization for your guns at a pittance of $

I bought three of these for the gun cabinet. I have nocomplaints. If you place revolvers in holsters first and put extra mags on each side of semi-autos, even subcompacts, they stay sufficiently rigid--at least for my purposes anyway. Now that they're on sale, I'm getting two more, one more for the cabinet, and one for the bedroom so I have somewhere to put my CCW and/or whatever handgun when I am cleaning or away from home.

This is a great way to organize your handguns for your safe or wherever you need organization. I got two and I am getting one more. Those who are complaining about their handguns falling over are probably trying to use it with a thin barrel gun. The way they are set up is the barrel or slide is held between two ears of soft material. If they can't get a grip the gun will fall over. I suggest you use this with a semi-auto or a heavy barrel pistol. I have found I can organize other things with it. For instance, I used to put a handgun by my bed. I now have one of these set up to hold my hand gun and extra magazines. It keeps things in order. I highly recommend this product.

These are, IMHO, ...

These are, IMHO, particularly well suited to modern pistols. They work best with the later wide slide guns, like Glocks, XDM's, XD's, CZ, Sigs, etc. My thinner slide 1911's work well also. Revolvers less so. You can't build something to fit every possible combination. Anyway, I have several of these, and I use them to organize my auto pistols. I would buy more as my collection grows.

To soft of sides. Guns fall sidways. Looks sloppy and outside ones lean outside of rack getting in the way of whatever is next to rack.
