Technical Information

Notes:

Aluminum, front .600" long, .535" diameter. Rear 1.145" long, .535" diameter.

Front pillar is cut to match the receiver screw angle, fits against the bottom of the recoil lug.

Excellent pillars. Easy ...

Excellent pillars. Easy to install with a few common shop tools (drill press, bench vise, files, caliper) even for someone who is NOT a gunsmith. They were not too short as the other reviewer suggested. In fact they are made a little long (about .030") intentionally so they can be trimmed to the exact length. The angled notch is cut perfectly unlike some other brands I've used. I'd recommend roughing up the outer surface with course sandpaper prior to installing them.

I have used these pillars in my m77 mark II. They worked great. I don't understand the report of them being too short. they were the exact length that I needed. don't be afraid to buy them. In fact I ordered another set for my other rifle. They are the only good option for pillar bedding a ruger that I have found.

I recently purchased these pillars for my Ruger 77. I drilled the appropriate holes in my stock only to find out that the front pillar was way too short. The proper length of the pillars should be .800" and not .600" as listed. The front pillar needs to be around .600 to the bottom of the V not the overall length. I now have a $300 custom stock with two large 9/16" holes drilled in it that currently cannot be used. I have a total of three Rugers, two model 77's, and one 77 Mark ll. All three measures within a few thousands of each other so I know it is not my gun that has some odd measurement. I am now waiting 3 to 4 weeks to get custom pillars that are the correct length. Do not buy these pillars; they are not the correct length!
