this might be good if it is for your wife.

The Pros outweigh the Cons on this one. Yes it is a 6 position collapsible stock, sadly it has a ugly as sin button for folding it that sticks way up on the stock. Installation on a Mossberg 500 was ridiculously simple and it has a solid feel to it once locked in place. There are worse out there, and better, but for the price it would be hard to beat it.

I put this on my 870 and in my opinion the side folding mechanism is right in the way of my hand to hold the grip comfortably. My thumb rubs against it and during fire I loosen my grip to avoid the rubbing against my thumb knuckle. The actual grip is comfortable and it fits securely to the weapon but I would go with the non-side folding option if I were to do it again. Please reduce the size of the mechanism!

Love this stock! I installed it on my Mossberg 500 persuader with no problems! Just make sure you don't forget the provided washer. It performs like a champ too. The rubber butt pad is a little stiff, but I had an old limbsaver lying around which made the kick of those 3 inch slugs feel like bird shot! Highly recommend this!

Just received this product and installed it onto my Mossberg 500. Installation was quick and easy and it is a nice, solid piece. I love the thing, as it allows me to snug the weapon up nice and tight and get a good aim. It also folds to the side to allow for operation within tight confines which is really cool. The only thing I don't like is that one the thing is installed, your thumb can't reach the forend release switch, unless you have banana thumbs. When the stock is folded to the side this is no problem, but otherwise you have to use another finger to hit the forend release switch. Other than that, I really like this product.

Hinge is a nightmare. The hinge is so large it impedes my hand from getting a good grip on the pistol grip and I can barely get my finger on the trigger. I put this stock on my Remington 870 took it to the range once and immediately took it off when I got home.

Stock appears to be of good quality. Very compact when folded and sturdy when extended. Fold button a bit stiff, but shouldn't cause any problem since it wouldn't normally be used when gun needed quickly.

I am using the ATS 6-Position Collapsible Side Folding Buttstock on a Mossberg 500 Persuader for home defense. Both my wife and I have used this set up several times on the range. It's very durable, easy to use. Having short arms, this buttstock was perfect. It was also very easy to install with several mod pieces for different long arms.
