Conectors are the source of most electronic problems and this item has plenty of them to give trouble. The connectors are flimsy and of poor quality. I had to fiddle and fiddle with them to get the LEDs to work. I re-did the arrangement by soldering in stereo RCA cables at a cost of $35 including shipping for the cables and an hour of work. Re-design and rework should not be necessary.

I purchased the CED ...

I purchased the CED millennium after I had a lot of problems with another brands chronograph. When I started using it I was pleasantly surprised on how well the CED unit worked. However, I have very little time available to shoot so when I do, I have to be able to use my equipment then regardless of weather. This is why I purchased the infrared sky screens. I have used them only on two occasions and they worked great both times. Once I was shooting with my regular screens when a cloud front blew in. My regular screens stopped working so I hooked up my infrared screens and went back to recording data quickly. The infrared system comes with a rechargeable battery which is nice unlike some companies sky screens and it appears to be durable enough for my use. If I could improve anything it would be that they were made a little sturdier, however weight would then be an issue and I'm happy with them the way they are. Good compliment to your CED chronograph!
