This handy block will hold an upper receiver by the lugs on bottom or the rail on top. The block can then be clamped into a vice allowing numerous tasks to be easily accomplished. Also useful for aligning a railed forend to the upper receiver during installation. Aluminum.

This rail block worked great! It was very easy to slide onto the rail and kept my upper still while I worked on it. One of the best tools you can buy to work on an AR!

There are products that ...

There are products that put a satisfied smile on your face every time you use it... this is one of those products. I cannot describe how SOLID of a product this vise block is. I destroyed a DPMS and a no-name Delrin blocks trying to remove a Rock River Arms free-float tube mount/barrel nut that was red Locktite-ed by the manufacturer to the upper receiver. This item in my 5" vise, a torch (can't do that with a Delrin vise block!) and a pipe for leverage finally got the nut off without damage. The 'bottom' or the picatinny rail side, is also extremely useful for aligning a free-float handguard that has a rail on it with the rail of an M4 flattop upper receiver during a new install. I replaced the thumb screw with a 1/2" x 20 allen head bolt, but it remains removed while the block is clamped in my vise anyhow. You will not be disappointed by this product, of that I can assure you.

Wow! I can't believe how easy this item makes barrel assembly for an AR. I attached this into my 4" vise and installed the upper using the receiver pins. I used the PRI barrel nut wrench and everything went together easily. No more trying to create blocks or ways to hold the upper while torquing the barrel. A must have for AR builds!

I had been waiting to get this so I could torque the barrel nut on my AR-15, this worked great. I had to really up the torque to get the gas tube holes to line up, but this tool worked great. This is well worth the money.

I just got these tool that fits well especially if you have a mono-block picatinny rail continued from upper receiving to free-float front guard. It is perfectly made tool for both two pivot points and upper rail. I am lucky to have found these tool. I have looking for these kind of tool.
