The top cover is not ...

The top cover is not smooth and the finish is a little bit different from the ones that comes with Arsenal Saigas type. I'm not sure if Arsenal re-finish to make them smooth. However, this one has their Izmash original finish and is like more darker finish. I bought it for my WASR 10/63 anyways, so color will be different from the whole rifle but I can tell you that it fits perfect the WASR 10/63 and the reason I bought one ... I couldn't fix the Romanian top cover, I tried and tried to fix it and the bolt still was getting stuck on the way forward so I gave up. Then, I tried the top cover of my Arsenal AK74 and the difference was huge, I noticed the Russian is bigger from inside and so no contact with the bolt - top cover and the bolt is moving very smoothly backwards and forwards. I make it fun now because I try to make it stop on the way by holding it with my hand and the bolt wants to push my hand forward. So this is the reason I ordered one of these Russian top cover. I really love it, Good quality over all and I recommend it for the WASR owners out there that are having more of less the same trouble or Anyone that needs a Top cover in general for your AK.
