The lee Turret Press features a proven design which utilizes turrets that lock into a solid steel ring and powerful linkage allowing the largest magnum cases to be sized with minimal effort. Boasting generous hand clearance and a comfortable wood grip the Lee turret press will offer years of service to the even the most seasoned reloaders. Extra turrets (sold separately) allow the reloader to quickly and effortlessly change calibers. Simply lift out the entire turret and replace with the next caliber. Very good value in a very ...

Very good value in a very versatile press. Inexpensive turrets allow you to switch calibers with twist of the wrist in about five seconds! I deprime/resize and prime as separate steps, so I just take out the auto index, and use the press as single stage for this operation and then prime with Lee Auto Prime off the press. I then drop the auto index back in the press to load. If you take advantage of Lee's powder thru expander die and the Lee Auto Disk powder measure it's easy to produce 300 rounds of pistol ammo per hour. Easily resizes .30-06 rifle brass. My only complaint is that the deprime operation regularly bounces primers on the floor instead of catching them in the base of the press. In my opinion, if you're going to load less than 10,000 rounds per year, this is all the press that you will need.

I've been loading for 30+ years and finally got a new press. I like the appearance, finish and worksmanship. The auto index got removed quickly since I only batch load, I think it's safer and I can keep an eye on everything better. The ability to swap turrets is cool and having four holes gives me a place for the carbide crimp die on pistol sets. I would have given this press 5 stars except for the bad priming routine. It spits used primers all over the place, including down the dark holes around the ram never to be seen again, and having to handle new primers, especially small ones, is a pain. The very few misfires I've had during my reloading have been due to killing primers with my less than surgically clean fingers. I'll keep my old Lyman Spartan for priming chores.

Does the job well

I started with a three position Lee turret press in the 80s. In the 90s I passed the three position unit to a friend and bought a 4 position one.

The process that I have worked out using this press and a Lee Classic single stage is quite a bit different than the "normal" process. I size and decap using the single stage press. I then prep the brass (clean, clear primer pocket, trim (for rifle brass only) chamfer etc.) I prime on the single stage press.

On the Lee 4 position the first station is the Lyman M die appropriate for the cartridge. The second station is the Auto Disk Powder Measure. The third station is the seating die and the last station is the Lee Factory Crimp Die.

Using this process I have loaded thousands of pistol rounds (38, 9mm and 45) and hundreds of rifle rounds (223, 308, 45/70).

Im New to reloading this is my first press, love price and great for someone who doesnt need to make 500rds/HR. I highly recommend getting the lee pro disk measure, and charge bar is a must on those small rounds.

Have owned three of the three holes and now this four hole. For the price, nothing can touch it. Make sure you order the Pro Autodisk measure to go with it. Anyone with even the most modest amount of mechanical apptitude can set up and adjust this press. For those who have to have something with that reassuring "boat anchor" heft and sluggish manual indexing, by all means spend three or four times as much on another brand of cast iron prestige. I'll match the ammo that comes off of my Lee Turret Press against anything you can produce and a whole lot more of it, a whole lot faster and a whole lot less expensively.

This is the only press I have ever had but I must say this is such an improvement from the hand loader I used before. I love just about everything about this press. The only thing I can say is that when reloading larger casings like 30-06 I have to switch to manual indexing but it reloads pistol and some small rifle casings with the auto index. I am new to this and I can get a bullet complete within 25 seconds using a perfect powder measure for this press. The level prime system is even good enough to get my primers in far enough for my Garand Reloads. I also suggest Safety prime with this it helps a lot. Just a click and primer goes into the primer system. It is also feels good and heavy and I think I will be using this for many years to come. Thank you Lee and MidwayUSA for this great product.

I have reloaded 38, 357, & 9mm with my 4 hole turret & had the same problem with spent primers all over the place as some of the others. I went to Wal Mart bought a rubber maid rectangle container approx. 6-1/2" W x 10" L x 2" deep container & cut a slot 1-1/2" x 2" in said container, slide it under press & bolt it to your bench. About 95% collection rate, still have a few wild ones. Also filled so-called spent primer collection with foam rubber. This is a great press for what I do. Thanks Midway & Lee.

I've removed the auto index and priming features and use this as a single stage, running a hundred pieces of brass through each stage at a time. I reload for 338 RUM, .223, .308, .270, .45 ACP, and .41 Mag and have turrets for each. I like this press because it allows me to still have the single stage control over my reloading process but also is quick change on the dies because of the rotating turret.

I really enjoy using my Lee 4-hole Turret Press now that I have gotten everything adjusted. Adjusting the various dies in the turret took more time than I had expected. Furthermore, adjusting the ratcheting mechanism so that it worked with both turrets that I use, .40S&W and .45ACP, took some effort. In the course of things I ruined one of the 2 little, soft-plastic square ratchets that drive the rotation of the turret. In the course of trying to get everything working with that, I stripped the screw that holds the soft-plastic auto index clamp to the ram and holds the square ratchet. Without a doubt, the weak link is the ratcheting mechanism, but once everything was working correctly it has worked flawlessly for hundreds of rounds. And this product is good value - a lot of spare plastic parts can be bought for the difference in price with other turrets.

I've owned 4 presses and this is by far my favorite. The best part is that this press allows you to load quicker than a single stage, but maintains high quality in ammunition production. The slightly slower pace than other presses allows you to carefully do each stage without worrying about a double charge or a dropped primer. I would recommend this press to anyone as their first press, or their twentieth.

First press I ever owned, used it for loading .222, .223, .308, 40S&W for over 3 years. Not a precise or heavy duty press, but it will get the job done for small runs and general plinking. I could do 200 rds of 40S&W in an hour. Rifle loads takes longer due to lubing. Resizing rifle cartridges is tough on this press. I replaced the handle linkage due to wear/breakage after 2 1/2 years ($4). Would recommend priming separately. The powder drop system is messy, but it seems to be accurate enough. Overall, for the money, a great way to get into reloading. If you are wanting target loads, look at other brands at Midway.
