This is an excellent ...

This is an excellent scope. Very clear with great eye relief. I put this on my Marlin 1895 45/70 and have no problem quickly picking up targets from 25 yards to 300 yards. I love the LR Duplex for hold over and have my gun hitting right where I aim. I am now saving for another one for my 1894 44 mag.

The 10 oz. 6x36 LR duplex ...

The 10 oz. 6x36 LR duplex balances on my 6.5 lb. .30-06 Stevens 200. Dots match the trajectory of 150gr BT bullets at sea level or 165gr BT at 10,000 ft elevation: about +1.5" at 100, 0 at 200, -7" at 300, -19" at 400, and -41" at 500 yards. This also tells the subtension between dots. Bucks don't always wait for me to do the math but its easy and no extra bars confuse the aim. The 6x reaches past 300 yards and gets on target quickly. The 36mm lens gives a practical exit pupil for older eyes. Under 25 yards is slightly off focus but still works in brush. Eye relief of 4.2 inches allows for recoil. Cost more than the rifle but a great buy.

Mounted scope on a Ruger ...

Mounted scope on a Ruger M77 .243 Winchester after old variable power scope was unable to hold zero. Mounted with Weaver Medium Height replacement rings as stock ring screws were stripped and rings were beat up pretty bad.Scope is rock solid and was zeroed in after 30 minutes and 15 rounds. Will need to shoot more rounds through the rifle and place it through the rigors of a hunting season, but so far optics are crystal clear and the LR Duplex was spot on for estimating where the bullet will go at 200 and 300 yards. Excellent fixed-power scope for a hunting rifle in my opinion.
