The product does not have enough height. I ended up putting a couple of 50 pistol ammo boxes under it. I used sand to fill it and add weight. The bag ripped open on the top front seam after six shots from my 338 Win Mag. For .22's or other small bore, light recoiling rounds this might be an acceptable bag, doesn't work for large calibers.

I had gotten this product ...

I had gotten this product from a sporting goods store a few years ago. I have used it periodically, and I have enjoyed it. It is rather high, that if you plan to shoot a rifle or shotgun on a level plane, you will want to have some sort of rear rest for the stock. Great product overall.

While this is a good ...

While this is a good shooting bag be careful when sighting in short stocked rifles such as carbines.Four rounds from my Marlin 336 and the sling studs ripped the seams and lost about 10 percent of the filler before I realized it.Repaired with some strips of Gorrila tape, but damage should not have occured ni the first place.

For what it is, it can't ...

For what it is, it can't be beat. Construction and materials are first rate. Down side of any "sand bag" type front rest is lack of height adjustment. I wanted/needed more height when using this bag so I glued a couple pieces of plywood together and trimmed the plywood to 10" X 10" square. I use the plywood for a base plate with this bag when I need more height. This front rest sure beats using old shot bags filled with dirt.

The bag does "roll", it's ...

The bag does "roll", it's overfilled I think. Also with very little use the seams have split, in the U at the top of the bag, I've re-sealed the seams with "rubber cement, the kind used for repairing "waders", it's holding but it's poorly manufactured. The small "rear" bag has the same problem....

The bag was easy to use for informal target shooting. It is holding up well so far. But revolvers do scorch the fabric. Its best used with a rifle.

Used this bag to pattern ...

Used this bag to pattern my shotguns. Bag came overfilled from manufacturer and was unstable and too tight on forend. Removing approximately 1 cup of media solved all those problems. Bag is now flat and stable and will mold to fit any forend. Height is perfect for benchrest shooting. Highly recommended.

For the price, it works ...

For the price, it works great and has held up well, as well as being gentle on my guns' stocks, and the suede padding grips the glossy stocks without any shifting or sliding. The convenience of not having to fill the bag myself was one big reason I purchased this rest. The carry handle makes it easy to transport and it's relatively compact size makes it easy to store at home when I'm not using it. Worth the extra few $ for the added convenience of being factory-filled.

THIS REST MADE A WHOLE LOT OF DIFFERENCE IN MY ABILITY TO SIGHT IN A NEW RIFLE. I WOULD SAY IT CUT SIGHT IN TIME IN HALF FOR ME. THE ONLY REASON I DIDN'T GIVE IT THE HIGHEST RATING IS BECAUSE IT NEEDS TO BE JUST A HAIR SOFTER. IT'S PROBABLY JUST ME BUT I WISH A GUN WOULD SINK INTO IT A LITTLE BETTER. HOPE THIS HELPS AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!

I found the bags, front & ...

I found the bags, front & rear too rounded for stable gun mounting. Overfilled? Mine got wet and the seams split due to media-filler expansion. However,I crumbled up the corn-cob(?)media and used it in my Midway vibratory case cleaner-best ever!
