There are no instructions, but basic disassembly and reassembly are covered in the Ruger SRH owner's manual. Still there are some tricks. The main spring (hammer spring) swap requires that you disassemble the main strut and main spring after removal from the gun. Be careful. I used my wood jawed vice to grip the disassembly pin, and I was very careful to keep the parts from flying all over the shop. Installation of the 9 pound replacement spring was fairly easy. As for the trigger spring, Ruger doesn't tell you how to get to this part - and if you can't figure it out, you probably shouldn't be doing this job. It wasn't difficult.With the 9 pound main spring and the 10 pound trigger spring installed, the trigger pull in single action went from over 6 pounds to about 3.5 pounds. Not a bad improvement for less than $10. The double action trigger pull dropped too, but I didn't measure it.As for reliability, I'm still experimenting. A nice thing about both this kit and the Wolf kit is that they include three main spring choices and two trigger spring choices. If the 9 and 10 pound combo is too light, try a different one.I'm going to put the gun and ammo in the freezer for a while to see if it works well in the cold.All in all, the hardest part about this swap was pulling the trigger guard assembly out of the SRH. The plunger was hard to work on my SRH, and it took some patience to get it depressed enough to pull the trigger guard assembly out of the frame. Once it was depressed, the rest of the job was simple.
