I picked up a box to test ...

I picked up a box to test out with my new CenterPoint 3-12x44mm scope with the TAG etched glass reticle drop compensator ( similar to the Nikon bdc) My Savage 210F bolt action slug gun w/ 1:35 twist rate-24 inch barrel was used. Conditions were snow and 25 degrees; wind light 1-3mph. Target was ranged at 100 yards with range finder. Results simply put were ASTOUNDING! All 5 rounds were through the same hole and overall group was .62 inches!! Remember these are 1/2 inch sabots! Hope this review helps all out there with finicky slug guns.

This is the Sabot Slug my ...

This is the Sabot Slug my 12 Ga. H&R Ultra Slug prefers. At 50 yds. it consistently shoots a single jagged hole, at 100 yds a consistent cloverleaf, at 150 yds a consistent 2 1/2 " 3-shot group. At 200 yds a pretty consistent 3 1/2" group. I took a nice 6 point last season at a ranged 142 yds with this sabot. It dropped where it stood. I won't use any other sabot in my Ultra Slug. One suggestion is to get yourself a good rangefinder and use it. I was surprised how far off my range estimating was when I started using my rangefinder.

This is a REALLY hard ...

This is a REALLY hard hitting sabot slug and gives you better range than some rifles. Dropped a charging male grizzly 13 yards from me and my kids while hiking in bear country. Will be buying more for sure.

on December 11th 2009 I took a 10 pt. buck from 252 yards with this bullet. I was very impressed with the bullet and the 160 b/c buck I dropped. dont be afraid to reach out there, it will do it.

Shooting out of Browning BPS with Leupold Shotgun scope. .5" at 100 yards with 3 Shots. Sighted in 3" high @ 150 yds. took a buck on 11-19-06 at 295yds across our corn field, verified on range finder. complete pass thru by aiming about 18" over the back. This ammo surprised me and I will be ordering more.

Using a Remington 870 w/a ...

Using a Remington 870 w/a 23" rifled barrel and Leupold VX-III I'm getting 2" groups at 100 yards and 3.5" groups at 150. I have taken 2 deer with combination as well. One at about 65 yards, the other was at about 170 yards. Both resulted in a one shot kill.

I used this load on an elk. One round at 100 yards from a Remington M11-87 broke the near shoulder and devestated the heart/lung area before exiting.

I have used this product for the past three years. I have taken 3 big bucks in the 130 range of B&C. All 1 shot kills, all thru and thru, ranging from 65 to 110 yards. Accuracy with a rifled barrel is excellent to 125 yds. Sight 1" high at 100 yds, impact will be 1" low at 125 yds. After that the bullet drops quickly.

This slug is great as far ...

This slug is great as far accuracy goes. I got 2.25" groups at 100 with a Remington cantilever barrel. I have not yet tested it on an animal, but with a 385 Gr bullet at 2000 fps, I think there's little doubt.
