I mounted this on a ...

I mounted this on a Remington 870 with slug barrel. It works well especially towards evening at low power setting just before dark when the hogs start moving. I like being able to light up the cross hairs making an accurate shot and no guessing. So far it has worked well hunting and shooting a few boxes at the range. It seems to be able to handle the .12ga without any problems.

I bought this scope for ...

I bought this scope for use on my Ruger 77/44 .44 Mag rifle to hunt bear. I did not make it to bear camp and ended up using it for deer hunting instead. It makes a great brush gun combo. The low power and larger objective work well for fast shots when you kick up an animal, and yet still offers plenty of zoom for taking a 100 yard shot from a treestand if the oppertunity presents itself. The scope is clear and bright, has held up to about 75 rounds of full power 240gr. 44 Mag handloads with no problems, and has maintained an excellent zero. Image clarity is very good at all distances and all magnification levels. The light up reticle center is not overpowering like some of the other fully lit reticles I have seen. It is just enough to help you be sure of an accurate shot in low light conditions. I'm very happy with this scope and will probably be buying a 3-12 power Huntmaster in the near future for one of my other rifles.

Very nice scope! Clear, ...

Very nice scope! Clear, bright optics with plenty of viewing area! Well defined reticle with great illumination (no "halo" effect like poorer quality coatings) I purchased this scope for my .22 turkey rifle and am very impressed. Thus far it has assisted with two late day gobblers. The adjustable settings for the illumination allow you to dial in just the right amount for the light conditions and truly made my shots successful on dark targets in dusky conditions. Overall, a quality scope that I will be happy with for years.

Out of the box, the glass ...

Out of the box, the glass was very clear and bright. 11 Illumination settings is good for different time of day or even indoors. Rear focus is also a good feature. Underneath of the caps, the adjustment knobs are sort of a small wing nut design and require no tools to get dialed in. Eye relief is generous. I'm not so sure about those wanting to use the 1.5 setting for home defense because it's a little awkward getting accustomed to the extra magnification over an EOTech or Aimpoint, but for varmint hunting, it sure seems well made and worth the cost.
