I too bought two of these needle bottles. The needle is just a friction fit on a nipple on the cap. No cap is included to seal the needle. If you are squeezing the bottle too hard, the needle flies off. The needle, seems to clog too. Whether it is a build-up of some oil residue inside the needle or what I don't know. If you take the needle off, there is no blockage of the cap, just when the needle is on the cap is when the oil is not coming out freely. Dewey has a much better bottle, comes in a three pack, with a metal bottle cap and a cap for the needle. I'm not buying the Baker bottles again ... oh and the Baker bottles collapse from squeezing them. Why?

Ordered 2 bottles 1 for the gun oil and 1 for my own lube formula, the needle allows me to place the lube exactly where I need to. They do work very well, but I do have to agree with the person that says they should come with a cover for the needle or the spout, in the mean time I'll use a piece of cork on the needle.

I also don't understand why people are having trouble with these bottles. I've been using them for a long time without one single problem. They work great for tight places on guns or small equipment. I even fill them up with flux for my soldering projects. Maybe some guys are squeezing the life out of them like a regular Rem oil bottle, don't need to, just a gentle squeeze will do the job. For precaution, and before filling it up with oil, you can spread a little bit of super glue around the nipple of the bottle and then slip the needle on making sure glue doesn't get inside the needle. Works great for me!

I don't know why the other people are having trouble with these bottles, I've been using them for almost a year and have not had one single problem with them. They're great for oiling tight places on guns and other things, you can control the amount of oil very easily you're putting on. I highly recommend them and have order 20 more, I even put gun solvents in them with no problems. Maybe the other guys think they are lubricating guns and squeeze the life out of them causing them to break. For me, they work great.

The absolute worst needle ...

The absolute worst needle bottle I have ever seen. The needle is just a slip fit on a nipple on the cap and there is no cap included to seal the needle. So not only do I have to worry about squeezing too hard and the needle flying off I also have to worry about the bottle tipping over...both of which would create a huge mess!! With the cost of synthetic gun oils being what they are I will not be using this for my gun oils for fear of spillage. There is no way I would recommend this bottle.

I bought 2 of these, one was ok, one was defective it had a hairline crack on top causing it not to screw on bottle straight. Dewey makes a better bottle but it's twice as much but probably last a lifetime. Not sure I will buy again even thought it only 5.00 or less...have asked for a replacement from Midway, waiting on response.
