Let me start by saying I am anot a mechanical broadhead fan. I have a buddy who uses and loves his Rage broadheads but it seems everytime he kills a deer he has to replace the broadhead because it is damaged. Plus, rubber gaskets don't always stand up to the environment. Having said this the wound channels are quite impressive. When I saw the Bloodrunner I figured I would give it a try because I figured, hey, if the mechanical part fails at least I still get a broadhead the size of a Muzzy. My first use of the Bloodrunner was on a bear. I was deer hunting but had a bear tag in my pocket. The bear came head on towards me and I had to wait to get a shot off. When the bear finally turned, she turned much faster than I anticipated and I shot her really far back. Through the hips to be precise. I got a total pass through that severed both femoral artieries. I did have to track the bear but the blood trail was excellent! My broadhead was intact as well (still using it)! Great product, I highly recommend it if your going to use a mechanical broadhead.
