Bought these for my son ...

Bought these for my son so he would concentrate on the puck rather than the obnoxious buzzer at the rink. I am confident these would make the problem worse since they did little to filter loud noise and will likely fall out in the first few minutes anyway.

I was very disappointed with this product. When I first tried to switch one to on, the on/off switch fell off. I fixed that, but couldn't get them adjusted to amplify sufficiently without high-pitched feedback whine. I never even tried to shoot with them on, I returned them after just trying to get them fitted and adjusted.

I purchased a pair of Radians and returned them because they did not offer hearing protection of gun shots as stated on package. It's a good idea but needs work.

I own other Radian products and thought this would be just right for teaching Hunter Ed classes. Hearing amplification with noise reduction. They didn't work. I took them to the trap field to try them and was disappointed. Maybe I didn't have them set right but after an hour playing with the setting I just gave up. They do amplify sound very well. Just don't shut down as advertised.

I would have expected much more from this manufacturer. I found these to be poorly made, potentially easy to damage and all but impossible to keep in your ear for more than 15 minutes due to the fit/design. Didn't even bother to see if they would shut down for a gun blast.

Yeah, I have to agree with all the above...they will amplify, but no noticeable attenuation...surprisingly bad for Radians brand.

They did a good job of amplifying sounds, however I was not pleased with their performance at the trap range. In my opinion, they do not work as advertised to block sounds over 85dB. I have stopped using them for sound attenuation.

I bought these because they seemed to be much more economical than any of the other in the ear units I had looked at. But, I guess you get what you pay for - - these things are junk. There was a constant high pitched squeal that I could never adjust away for very long. I never did get to use these for shooting & hunting as they just wouldn't work. For the same money buy a decent pair of electronic muffs.
