This was drop in on my CO-arms foster frame 1911. It functions fine. Has a not bad looking, slightly dull finish. Yeah, it is MIM--but decent quality. It is a little better looking than some of the other economy SS safety's but not a high end part. I would give it 4.5 stars--since it got slammed in past reviews I'll give it 5 just to even things out.

It fits RIA tactical 9mm ...

It fits RIA tactical 9mm FS. There were ugly casting marks all around it. I had to trim a little to avoid contact with the plunger tube. It was a little looser then stock safety, but very nice after some sanding.

required fitting in my RIA 1911, but it won't be on it long. the finish on this safety is terrible. it has several very large mold lines on it. as far as i'm concerned, this was just a practice part. i'll buy a better brand next time.

I knew this was going into a non colt gun so i knew ahead of time there would be little fitting to be done and i was right. The 3 stars is because of the bent tail end and the poor casting quality

It dropped right into my lighweight commander xse. No shaping or polishing was required. I used the strong side safety instead of the ambi safety that came with the gun. Great Part

It is a good quality part. It dropped right into my Combat Elite. If you are looking for Colt parts to match your Colt gun, then this is it. Yes, the finishing could be a bit better, that is the only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars.

Not very good quality. Parting lines from casting the part are very visible. An STI safety is a much better quality safety. Wont buy a colt part again.
