Muzzle brakes are used to increase muzzle control while also adding a custom look to any firearm with the correct muzzle thread. Muzzle brakes can contain any combination of ports and holes which help disperse gases up, down, left or right. With even dispersion of gases, felt recoil is reduce and a higher level of muzzle control is acquired. Includes jam nut for proper indexing.

Added this muzzle brake to my DPMS LR308 and it made a huge difference. I did a lot of research before buying this muzzle brake and it was the best deal I could find. My only complaint is it does not come with installation instructions. I had to do a search on the web before I felt comfortable installing.

Put this on a dpms lr-308 with 18" barrel. Made a huge difference in the kick, but it wasnt very pleasent for the person standing next to me. Didnt know what the big deal was till I let my buddy fire off a few rounds. You could feel the blast wave in your chest

I installed this on my Rem 700 SPS Tac 308. Significantly reduces felt recoil and looks good. I chose to use a crush washer instead of the supplied lock ring. This provides a much cleaner look in my opinion. Recommended!

I have this on my lr-308. I put many parts to increase accuracy, but when I put this on I could then see where the bullets hit. Mine did come with a washer. Some people in the past say they didnt get one. YES it reduces recoil. NO it does not turn into a 556, but dont worry, if you bought a 308 ar you obviously can handle the kick. Recoil goes down 35-40% but its the decrease in muzzle rise I love. There are other brakes. Pretty fancy ones. But this one works. Thats what counts.

Installed this compensator on my Remington R-25 (AR-10) chambered in .308, and I am just amazed at the difference! With the PRI Gas Buster charging handle and the DPMS slip on buttpad (from the DPMS website), this is effectively now a RECOILESS rifle. I also changed the horrible stock trigger out for a Timney drop-in single stage (3.75 lb-pull) and my 200 yd. groups are now 3", every time. I highly recommend this muzzle brake.

I installed the Miculek muzzle brake on my .308 Sporticle, and am very pleased so far. The installation was very easy, muzzle jump is reduced significantly, and most of all the recoil was reduced by atleast 50%. I did not experiance much increase in the noise level. I highly recommend this product.

I replaced my phantom factory flash hider on my custom LR-308 carbine with this brake to reduce a little recoil along with a previous addition of the Endine hydraulic recoil buffer and I must say it now shoots just like my 5.56 midlength. With both parts added its a night a day difference from the original setup. Also you don't need a crush washer or peel washer for this compensator, it comes with a jam nut to lock the compensator in place. Yes its louder but the benefits out way the increase in sound. Also using the commercial diameter Magpul ACS stock. A must have upgrade for the LR308 and wouldn't hesitate to buy again!

I bought this for my LR-308 build. With this product plus a PRI gas buster, your optics will stay in position after every round when shooting prone with a Harris bi-pod. I had the gun smith custom threaded my barrel to fit without a washer and it looks great. I would've gave this item four stars but the value helps it remain five stars.

I chose the Miculek muzzle brake for my DPMS AP4 LR-308 based on information found on the internet regarding its effectiveness, and the price. There are other muzzle brakes but they tend to be more expensive and apparently are no more effective. Installation was easy but you need to work quickly with Red Loctite before it sets up. The recoil control is much improved. The gun simply vibrates in your hands when it is fired instead of rocking up and back. It is very easy to make fast double taps (not that they are needed with a .308) and the recoil against the shoulder is much reduced. I plan on buying another Miculek brake for my AR15.
