The Lyman 2500 Pro Magnum Case Tumbler is perfect for a high volume reloader. The massive 13" bowl has a two gallon capacity which is large enough to tumble 1000 38 Special cases with 7 lbs of media. The time tested and proven, heavy duty motor now has features which improve the air flow to the motor. This improved circulation increases the amount of cooling on the motor allowing extending the life of the motor.

I have cleaned more than ...

I have cleaned more than 12,000 brass with mine and it has preformed flawlessly, I reccomend Frankfor Arsonel polish becuase it works better than most and is way cheaper, aslo as I learned from another post, go to a pet supply store and buy your corn cob media by the 15 lbs. bag for 6.99, I let the brass tumble for 4-6 hours depending how dirty they are and they have so far came out as clean or cleaner than new. The auto flow does what it is supposed to, however when emptying the tumber it's a convienent time to inspect each and every brass to check for dents/smashed brass, and to ensure no media is left inside. The best results I have had with the auto flow is to pull the plug and get most of it out without touching the brass, then reach in and turn the brass with your hands and walk away for about 10-15 min(gets a little loud) then just repeat until your happy. I don't know what people expect for this price range but the auto flow is defenitly worth the few extra dollars. but don't get me wrong it does not work as well as a media seperator, but will definately make the job much easier.Great product would highly reccommend to anyone.

Item cleans cases well. It is lacking the on/off switch and you must pull plug to turn off. Makes the Auto-Flo operation more difficult to perform. My 2200 Auto-Flo has correct size washers with rubber seals of quality. This unit came with washers too large and no seals. The casting of the bowl is uneven and not flush at bolt holes. This item is not the quality of my older 2200 Auto-Flow.

Auto flow is a waste of time. This tumbler only lasted about a year and a half and that was with using it about one time a month. cheap plastic garbage is all it is. Buy a thumler tumbler uv 18 . more money but it does twice the job in half the time and will last YEARS .

I rescind my previous review. This thing worked for 4 months and now the motor is dead. These things are just a joke. Does anyone at Lyman even use a tumbler to see if the product works? The tumblers need a better motor.

Its OK but very loud. The 2200 is much more quiet due to the better materials in the lid and washers. I would get another 2200 instead of this if I could do it over.

Pros: The auto flow design is very nice for sifting the media out. Large capacity.Mine came apart after 2 years of fairly regular use. I came out to find the bolts holding the motor to the base had snapped off and the motor had fallen into the base and died. The base is a sealed unit with no way to remove the motor without cutting it up. 1 year warranty.

Don't know about this newer version but my 2200 Auto Flo has been fantastic - I've had it over 10 years and hundreds of hours on it, it's out in the shed right now running with 450 .223 cases in it and will leave it going all night long, change to plain cob in the morning and run it all day tomorrow. I agree the drain spout could have been out a little further for draining, and you do have to stir the cases up with your hand when almost done to get the media out of the cases but hey - it only takes a couple minutes to do it and you're done. How many more messy steps does it take to use a separator ? The drain pan could have been a little larger - just barely holds a load of media. Mine has a good, heavy switch inline in the power cord. Based on my experience with this one, I would buy another.

The tumbler works great but the auto-flo option is not what I expected. The above review is correct that the exit spout should be longer as media will spill everywhere. Also, after 15-20 minutes of run time (with the plug out) the media was still in the cases. Then I have to run it through a media separator anyway; it did not save an extra step like I assumed it would.Stick with a standard tumbler and separator!

ABSOLUTELY one of the BEST tumblers made. I have a Lyman Auto-Flo 1200 model and decided I needed another tumbler. Tried one of the cheap Frankford Arsenal ones they have on sale...junk. I will stick with the Lyman tumblers from now on. This Auto-Flo 2500 is a dream. I can easily put 750+ 40 S&W cases in it with room to spare. You do need to adjust the amount of tumbling media you put in to control the noise and how well it actually tumbles. Would be nice if the drain pan was just a bit larger. Same pan that comes with the 1200 model and this one holds twice as much media (6-7 lbs.). Believe me when I say, you CAN NOT go wrong buying one of these. The one improvement I would recommend to them would be to put a switch on it like the 1200 model has.

This is my first tumbler, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but it works. Tumbling time will depend on the media you use. I've cleaned several thousand 9mm cases so far. With crushed walnut and some car wax/polish, it makes them real shiny in 1-2 hours. Corn cob bedding will need about 2x as long.The catch pan is too small. If you have a local feed store, go get an 8qt water bowl to use as a catch pan. Autoflow is nice, but you'll probably still want a media separator, which is also handy for getting loose dirt and other debris out of your brass before tumbling.

Doing a good job of cleaning brass. I put 300 .45 in and they were cleaned in two hours. The auto flow does not work. Some of the media stays in and you still have to seperate it.
