Product Information

Constructed of a black matte fiberite material, the 4-position collapsible buttstock assembly include a buffer, buffer spring, receiver endplate and a receiver extension nut. No gunsmithing required.

Technical Information

Buffer tubes come either as Mil-Spec or Commercial diameter. The Mil-Spec buffer tube is 1.148" in diameter while the Commercial buffer tube is 1.168" in diameter. The standard is Mil-Spec and Commercial stocks and buffer tubes are usually described as such.

Purchased this stock ...

Purchased this stock after purchasing a Model 1 A2 buttstock. The finish on this stock could be better. It had rough plastic edges. My main compliant is with the receiver end plate. It was too high and I couldn't pull my charging handle and bolt back. The oval shaped dimple in the plate is also too big and wont seat flush with the receiver. I will be returning this stock and looking for another.

Stock functions extremely ...

Stock functions extremely well. However, I got a malfunction in my AR with a live round "stuck" in the chamber and the bolt locked up. The range officer told me that SOP is to bang the stock (in closed position) on the ground to eject the round. I did this and he was right, however, my stock has a a crack running down the back of it. Long story short, it will stack up to most abuse, but not all.

Over all a really good buttstock. Only a couple complaints so far. Adjustments seem poorly spaced. Going from the all the way collapsed to the second notch is about twice the length as the others, but it didn't really bother me. Secondly, while fully collapsed, the Charging Handle does seem to rub against the stock. I haven't had any problems with the end plate like other people had. Fired thousands of rounds through my gun and it's still functioning well. Easy to take on and off. Didn't give it five stars because its not perfect.

I bought this for my CMMG build, and to keep this short and sweet, its just way too short if you are a 6 foot something guy with long arms. Other than that it went on perfect and looks great.

good bargin for whats included. finish is a little lacking with some ruff edges on the buttstock. positioning locks up tight. minimal wobble.

Good deal for the cost and what you get. I will echo what Nick PIacso said about the stock interfering with the charge handle, i simply used my dremel to "ramp" the forward part of the stock and smoothed out the molded seems so the charge handle does not hit or bind on the stock. i also used some oil to smooth out the operation of the stock.

Took a risk on this as some reviews were not too favorable..got it the other day and I am impressed, good stock for the price and looks great for a bone stock AR carbine. I would recommend this stock..I have had good luck with model 1 stuff

Gave this stock 4 stars because it does exactly what it's supposed to do and it's a great bargain with the entire assembly included. The buffer tube fit my Essential arms lower fine. My first AR build has this stock from day one and over 1,000 rounds down range with zero failures of any kind. If it had about 1.5 more inches more extension it would've gotten 5 stars. Buttpads and cheek rests are available for cheap and would definitely improve an already fine product.

Easy to self-install. Smooth open and close with solid lockup. Manufacturer may want to consider adding a spanner wrench and lock-tite at modest cost. I would buy another one if needed.
