Very good cast bullet. ...

Very good cast bullet. Shoots very accurate in a 454 casull and 45 colt revolver. I also managed to install a gas check on the cast bullet to prevent leading my gun barrel when firing maximum loads. I used a RCBS press mounted bullet puller. Using the appropriate sized collet, insert about 1/8 of the bottom driving band of the cast bullet into the pullers collet fingers. Turn the puller lever to squeeze down the bullet diameter just enough to install a gas check with hand pressure. Crimp the gas check using usual methods ( I use a Lee bullet sizer die). With a gas check, I can fire the bullet to 1,550 fps w/o leading my gun barrels. Ive done the same thing for my other cast bullets for pistol and rifle. Saved me a fortune from buying FMJ bullets to fire maximum loads in all my guns. Bullets are still accurate. Took out some deer with them , no problems.

If you have never used ...

If you have never used Cast Performance Bullets (LBT) you dont know what you are missing. I use them in my handguns and muzzleloaders. What you will get are half-dollar size entrance and exit holes, a short death run, meat in the freezer and a trophy on the wall. There is no bullet that will penetrate better. None. The only one I have ever recovered was dug out of the ground after in passed through a deer. Use the gas check with handguns and the plain base with the muzzleloader.
